LA DONNA, IL DIRITTO E IL PATRIMONIO NELLA TESTIMONIANZA LIBANIANA
2010
In this study about the role of Antiochian imperial women I aim at investigating the interrelationship between law and society and at analysing the way social changes lead to birth of new laws, in the period marked by a gradual replacement inside the Mediterranean world. Leafing through the numerous pages dedicated to Antiochene society in the 4th century by an author such as Libanius, who has always set himself up as a strenuous defender of the Hellenic tradition and champion of the ancient civic ideal, and who was influenced less than anyone else by the attraction of the new ideas of Christianity, a pattern emerges thanks to which we can understand the degree of consideration to which wom…
Paysages de la solitude féminine : Flaubert, Zola, Maupassant
2019
The paper analyses three cases of feminine solitude as depicted in three novels belonging to the Realist and Naturalist movement. Flaubert’s Emma Bovary considers herself superior to the others who neither understand her nor see who she really is, and thus suffers during all her life and finally commits suicide. Zola’s Hélène Grandjean (One Page of Love) is not aware of the falseness of her life mode of an honest widow incapable of having a passionate love affair, and this unawareness costs her the life of her child. Maupassant’s Christiane Andermatt (Mont-Oriol), an aristocrat married to a Jewish banker in order to repair the family’s fortune, has an affair with a lady-killer who abandons …
Le dévoilement du sens à travers les avatars différents de la féminité chez Marguerite Duras
2016
Madness is an inherent quality of female protagonists in the prose of Marguerite Duras. It manifests itself through melancholy, sadness, loneliness, misunderstanding or absence arising from abandonment. The behaviour of female characters, marked by distress or “the disease of death”, is irrational, nonsensical and difficult to understand. Their attitude defies logic and attempts to capture this specificity of writing focused on the emotive sphere, on what is inexpressible. This article discusses the perception of femininity and its various incarnations, manifesting themselves through specific language, sexuality and obsessions inscribed in the nature of the weaker sex. The destruction of pe…

Mocna kobieta - słaby mężczyzna: demaskatorski mit w twórczości Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette
2020
Colette’s work reveals the evolution of the woman’s self-awareness that took place in the 20th century, when she rejected the then-publicly accepted image of wife and mother. The author of the Claudine series through moral novelty, by addressing issues of gender identity and homosexuality, undermines stereotypes perpetuating inequalities between the sexes and male domination in the private and public sphere. She also changes the traditional way of portraying a woman in literature, creating a new type of heroine who provoked partners while fighting for her own independence.
Od buntu do wyzwolenia. Image kobiety nieobyczajnej według Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, Simone de Beauvoir, Françoise Sagan i Marguerite Duras
2018
Spod pióra Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, Simone de Beauvoir, Françoise Sagan or…

The women were interviewed on what factors enabled access and participation for their educational success. A thematic analysis of qualitative data was applied. All of the women interviewed were motivated to complete their degrees. Key enabling factors were encouragement from their families and previous teachers, full participation in student life…
