L’ORIGINE DELLA VIOLENZA MASCHILE NEL FEMMINISMO E LA PORNOGRAFIA NEL PENSIERO DI MACKINNON

2019

In this article, first, I will show that the masculine violence against women is likely to depend on some causes, and one is surely the crisis of patriarchal conception, and should be repressed in many ways. Second, I will show that there are some fallacies in MacKinnon’s thought about pornography

2019

This research intends to open a global debate on the current strong link between migration and prostitution on the basis of the reality observed in Palermo in the timespan 2015-2017. The main three elements emerging from the analysis are criminality, poverty and exploitation. As data suggests, Italy is the favorite destination of the Nigerian sexual exploitation market. Die weiblichen Figuren in Elisabeth Werners Romanen: selbstständige Frauen in nationalen Gewändern

2016

The female characters in Elisabeth Werner's novels: independent women in national costumes This essay examines the following novels of Elisabeth Werner: Ein Held der Feder (1872), Gesprengte Fesseln (1875), Heimatklang and Vineta (1877) and Wege des Schicksals (1909). Elisabeth Werner, pseudonym of Elizabeth Bürstenbinder, was one of the most popular writers of the family magazine ‘Die Gartenlaube’. The interest of research at Werner seems still to be relatively low. However, the extensive literary creation of the writer certainly deserves attention; it appears to be different from diverse points from the usual love and women's novels of the XIX century. This study analyses the female figur…

Dalya Abudi, Mothers and Daughters in Arab Women's Literature. The family Frontier, Brill, Leiden-Boston 2011, pp. 335

2013

CELEBRATING WOMEN ARTISTS IN JORDAN: REFRAMING GENDER ROLES AS RESISTANCE

This thesis focuses on women artists in the capital of Jordan, Amman, and particularly on their cultural practices as an expression of a creative agency. These women create independent spaces, cultural initiatives, public performances and original artworks that allow the reframing of gender roles in neoliberal patriarchal societies today. Beyond labeling the emergence of a new female activism, or femtivism, as feminist or revolutionary, I suggest reading it as the reconfiguration of a new wave of feminisms in Jordan, which engages with the visual arts, the contemporary cultural scene of Amman, the geography of the city and the political commitment, often in informal domains rather than in i…
