Effectiveness of adalimumab for ulcerative colitis: A multicentre, retrospective study of clinical practice in Italy.

Abstract Background Adalimumab is used to treat ulcerative colitis, but additional effectiveness and safety data are needed. Patients and methods This retrospective study considered adults with ulcerative colitis treated with adalimumab at 19 hospitals. Clinical data were collected from the start of treatment, after 2, 6 and 12 months, and at the last visit. Outcome measures of effectiveness were treatment duration, reasons for discontinuation and colectomy. Results We studied 381 patients treated with adalimumab for a median of 12.1 months. Pedagogical Purposes of Narratives in Worldview Education : Teachers' Conceptions

This study explores teachers’ pedagogical purposes for using narratives in Finnish religious and worldview education. The article stems from a philosophical and pedagogical view on narrative cognition as a fundamental element of worldview education. Teachers work as interpreters of the cultural stock of stories, including culturally fundamental religious narratives, and convert it into a pedagogical tool for identity work. The research data consists of interviews with primary school class teachers (N=6) about using narratives in the context of worldview education. Pētījuma Narratīva elementi videospēlēs galvenais mērķis ir apskatīt rīkus, ko izmanto videospēles naratīva veidošanai. Darbā aplūko tas teorijas par datorspēļu pētniecību un naratoloģiju, kā arī apskatīti naratīva elementi videospēlē Bloodborne. Teorētiskie pētījumi parāda, ka spēļu naratīvu var pētīt no naratoloģijas, ludoloģijas un semiotikas viedokļa. Izvelētās spēles pārbaude apstiprināja, ka stāstījums nav videospēlēm piemītošs līdzeklis, tā uzbūve notiek pēc spēlētāja mijiedarbības ar spēles elementiem, kas atrodas spēles laukumā, kas savukārt sniedz spēlētājam dažādas iespējas kā var rekonstruēt spēles vēstījumu.
“KKona where’s your sense of patriotism?” : Positioning Nationality in the Spectatorship of Competitive Overwatch Play

AbstractThis chapter analyzes the discursive construction of nationality and ethnicity in the context of the Overwatch World Cup 2019 and especially among the discussions of the world cup’s spectators on the live-streaming platform Twitch. Drawing on the positioning theory and the concept of banal nationalism, our study demonstrates how esports fans are active negotiators and co-creators of the esports discourse. The analysis illustrates what kind of role nationality and ethnicity take in this environment, in other words what they come to mean for those participating in the discourses defining them.

This qualitative study aims to analyse the worldview that emerges in the textbooks of Turkish imam and preacher high schools (úmam hatip lisesi). The study material consists of eight textbooks that belong to the vocational religious education of Turkish imams. All of the textbooks were published around 2010. In this study, theoretical considerations regarding the essence of worldview (Weltanschauung) are summarized into an existential model of worldview (EKMA). The model provides two viewpoints from which to understand the worldview under study. The New World species of the subgenera Allotrichoma Becker and Neotrichoma (new subgenus) are revised, including a phylogenetic analysis of the species groups and subgenera within the genus Allotrichoma. For phylogenetic perspective and to document the monophyly of the genus Allotrichoma and its included subgenera and species groups, we also provide a cladistic analysis of genera within the tribe Hecamedini. The ingroup included seven exemplar congeners from within Allotrichoma.
