An Abstract Generic Framework for Web Site Verification

In this paper, we present an abstract framework for Web site verification which improves the performance of a previous, rewriting-based Web verification methodology. The approximated framework is formalized as a source-to-source transformation which is parametric w.r.t. the chosen abstraction. This transformation significantly reduces the size of the Web documents by dropping or merging contents that do not influence the properties to be checked. This allows us to reuse all verification facilities of the previous system WebVerdi-M to efficiently analyze Web sites. The concept of paratext appears to be useful to try to describe the structure of a complex Web page. This article will firstly tackle the meaning attributed to this concept by Gérard Genette. Secondly, by trying to spot and to name whatever is likely to appear simultaneously on the screen upon the display of a written document extracted from the Web, it will Webwise redefine the two components of the paratext, namely the epitext and the peritext. Their functions, their feasible meanings and their effects will then be analysed.

Ocena jakości informacji w wybranych polskich katalogach stron WWW

Artykuł prezentuje ocenę jakości informacji w wybranych polskich katalogach stron WWW. W pierwszej części artykułu zaprezentowano charakterystykę, klasyfikację i ranking popularności katalogów stron. Następnie przedstawiono metodykę badania oceny jakości informacji w katalogach stron WWW. Do pomiaru jakości informacji zaproponowano kwestionariusz ankietowy. W drugiej części artykułu przedstawiono wyniki ewaluacji jakości informacji w wybranych katalogach stron WWW. Należy podkreślić, że wyniki badań są ograniczone ze względu na niewielką reprezentatywność próby. Artykuł kończy podsumowanie zawierające wnioski oraz wskazówki dotyczące dalszych kierunków badań.

Bakalaura darbs veic teorētisko un empīrisko izpēti par krāsu izmantošanu biznesā - starpkultūru komunikācijā. Pētījuma mērķis ir analizēt krāsu lietojuma atšķirības un līdzības uzņēmumos kulturāli un ģeogrāfiski tuvās un attālās valstīs. Pētījumā izmantots literatūras apskats un reklāmu salīdzinošā analīze. Analīzes korpusu veido četrdesmit astoņas kosmētikas un ādas kopšanas uzņēmuma mājas lapas, kas atlasītas no septiņpadsmit dažādām pasaules valstīm. Rezultāti liecina, ka krāsu izvēle ir atkarīga no ģeogrāfiskās atrašanās vietas, kultūras fona, personīgajām vēlmēm un uzņēmuma vispārīgajām īpašībām. Websites are one of the most frequently used communication environments, and creating sustainable web designs should be an objective for all companies.
