Dynamic aspects of industrial middleware architectures

ECONOMICAL SYSTEMS - NEW TRENDS FOR APPLICATION INTEROPERABILITY
2012
Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) registered an important increase in the past years. The aim of the Paper is to analyse the manner in which these technologies are used by the local business and how they can lead to the improvement of processes within enterprises. The paper includes the results of a study dedicated to determine the level of usage of these technologies in Romanian companies.
A VIRTUAL HUB BROKERING APPROACH FOR INTEGRATION OF HISTORICAL AND MODERN MAPS
2016
Geospatial data are today more and more widespread. Many different institutions, such as Geographical Institutes, Public Administrations, collaborative communities (e.g., OSM) and web companies, make available nowadays a large number of maps. Besides this cartography, projects of digitizing, georeferencing and web publication of historical maps have increasingly spread in the recent years. In spite of these variety and availability of data, information overload makes difficult their discovery and management: without knowing the specific repository where the data are stored, it is difficult to find the information required and problems of interconnection between different data sources and th…
Towards a Framework for Agent-Enabled Semantic Web Service Composition
2004
The article presents the framework for agent-enabled dynamic Web service composition. The core of the methodology is the new understanding of a Web service as an agent capability having proper ontological description. It is demonstrated how diverse Web services may be composed and mediated by dynamic coalitions of software agents collaboratively performing tasks for service requestors. Middle Agent Layer is introduced to conduct service request to task transformation, agent-enabled cooperative task decomposition and performance. Discussed are the formal means to arrange agents’ negotiation, to represent the semantic structure of the task-activity-service hierarchy and to assess fellow-agent…
An Integrated Framework for Web Services Orchestration
2009
International audience; Currently, Web services give place to active research and this is due both to industrial and theoretical factors. On one hand, Web services are essential as the design model of applications dedicated to the electronic business. On the other hand, this model aims to become one of the major formalisms for the design of distributed and cooperative applications in an open environment (the Internet). In this article, the authors will focus on two features of Web services. The first one concerns the interaction problem: given the interaction protocol of a Web service described in BPEL, how to generate the appropriate client? Their approach is based on a formal semantics fo…
Dynamic, Behavior-Based User Profiling Using Semantic Web Technologies in a Big Data Context
2013
pp. 363-372; International audience; The success of shaping the e-society is crucially dependent on how well technology adapts to the needs of each single user. A thorough understanding of one's personality, interests, and social connections facilitate the integration of ICT solutions into one's everyday life. The MindMinings project aims to build an advanced user profile, based on the automatic processing of a user's navigation traces on the Web. Given the various needs underpinned by our goal (e.g. integration of heterogeneous sources and automatic content extraction), we have selected Semantic Web technologies for their capacity to deliver machine-processable information. Indeed, we have…
Adaptive framework for network traffic classification using dimensionality reduction and clustering
2012
Information security has become a very important topic especially during the last years. Web services are becoming more complex and dynamic. This offers new possibilities for attackers to exploit vulnerabilities by inputting malicious queries or code. However, these attack attempts are often recorded in server logs. Analyzing these logs could be a way to detect intrusions either periodically or in real time. We propose a framework that preprocesses and analyzes these log files. HTTP queries are transformed to numerical matrices using n-gram analysis. The dimensionality of these matrices is reduced using principal component analysis and diffusion map methodology. Abnormal log lines can then …
Online anomaly detection using dimensionality reduction techniques for HTTP log analysis
2015
Modern web services face an increasing number of new threats. Logs are collected from almost all web servers, and for this reason analyzing them is beneficial when trying to prevent intrusions. Intrusive behavior often differs from the normal web traffic. This paper proposes a framework to find abnormal behavior from these logs. We compare random projection, principal component analysis and diffusion map for anomaly detection. In addition, the framework has online capabilities. The first two methods have intuitive extensions while diffusion map uses the Nyström extension. This fast out-of-sample extension enables real-time analysis of web server traffic. The framework is demonstrated using …
Tieteelliset laskentasovellukset ja pilvipalvelut – erityistarkastelussa AWS
2014
Tutkijat hyötyisivät raskaaseen laskentaan vaadittavien IT-resurssien hankkimisesta palveluna, jolloin usein niukat resurssit voitaisiin keskittää vaadittavan laitteiston hankkimisen ja ylläpidon sijaan ydinongelman tutkimise…
Music adviser : emotion-driven music recommendation ecosystem
2017
In respect of the big amounts of music available in the web, people met the problem of choice. From another side, practically unlimited resources can bring us new opportunities in the music context. Efficient data management engines which are smart and self managed are in demand nowadays in the music industry to handle music sources amounts of which are coming towards to infinity continuously. This study demonstrates feasibility of the emotional based personalization of music recommendation system. There is still gap between human and artificial intelligence, robotics do not have intuition and emotions which represent critical point of recommendations. Taking into account significant influe…
