Mosaic activating mutations in GNA11 and GNAQ are associated with phakomatosis pigmentovascularis and extensive dermal melanocytosis

Common birthmarks can be an indicator of underlying genetic disease but are often overlooked. Mongolian blue spots (dermal melanocytosis) are usually localized and transient, but they can be extensive, permanent, and associated with extracutaneous abnormalities. Co-occurrence with vascular birthmarks defines a subtype of phakomatosis pigmentovascularis, a group of syndromes associated with neurovascular, ophthalmological, overgrowth, and malignant complications. WWF on tunnettu kansainvälisestä työstään mm. pandojen ja tiikereiden suojelijana, joten otin asiaksi selvittää millä tavalla järjestön skandinaavisilla sivuilla näkyy oman kotimaan luonnonsuojelu. A posteriori error estimates for Webster's equation in wave propagation

We consider a generalised Webster’s equation for describing wave propagation in curved tubular structures such as variable diameter acoustic wave guides. Webster’s equation in generalised form has been rigorously derived in a previous article starting from the wave equation, and it approximates cross-sectional averages of the propagating wave. En este trabajo se estudia la percepción de los estudiantes de una experiencia en el uso didáctico de un blog docente durante cuatro cursos académicos en una asignatura universitaria. Los datos se recogieron a través de las contestaciones de los estudiantes a un post del blog donde se les solicitaba que realizasen una valoración del mismo. A través de un análisis cualitativo se definieron cinco categorías: el blog como herramienta de innovación educativa, el blog como recurso de organización flexible e hipertextual, el blog como entorno de aprendizaje participativo, el blog como agente de cambio del rol docente y propuestas de mejora. The present paper deals with a proposal for enhancing students’ engagement in the course ‘History of the English Language’ of the Degree in English Studies (Universitat de València). For the purpose, the traditional lectures will be combined with a research project carried out by groups of students (research teams) in which two digital tools will be used: electronic linguistic corpora and YouTube.
