The naves of churches and the halls of noble palaces. The paintings that decorate these ceilings are precious evidence of the wide cultural connections that linked Sicily to Europe and to the Mediterranean area. The paper reports the results of research aiming at the development of a workflow for the creation of a digital atlas of these ceilings. Digital representation overcomes one of the main obstacles to the study, the preservation and the dissemination of these works of art, i.e. the traditional dichotomy between photographic images and drawings. The concept of paratext appears to be useful to try to describe the structure of a complex Web page. This article will firstly tackle the meaning attributed to this concept by Gérard Genette. Secondly, by trying to spot and to name whatever is likely to appear simultaneously on the screen upon the display of a written document extracted from the Web, it will Webwise redefine the two components of the paratext, namely the epitext and the peritext. Their functions, their feasible meanings and their effects will then be analysed.

Emeritusprofessori Kari Palonen avaa Max Webein yhteyttä Euroopan Unioniin. Koska Weber kuoli espanjantautiin kesäkuussa 1920, hänellä ei kuitenkaan voinut olla mitään käsitystä Euroopan unionista, sellaisena kuin me sen tunnemme. Palonen lähestyykin Euroopan Unionia Weberin ajatusten kautta, joissa esimerkiksi ymmärretään toteutuneita mahdollisuuksia vertaamalla niitä toteutumattomiin. Palonen ei myöskään ole ainoa Weber-tutkija, joka on pohtinut Weberin suhdetta Euroopan integraatioon.

Understanding politics as a contingent and controversial activity, politicisation refers to those activities that create or make visible the political quality in the phenomena in question. Parliamentarisation is a distinct strategy of politicisation. In this chapter, parliament refers to a certain procedural and institutional ideal type of acting politically. The parliamentary way of politicising acting and thinking forms a Gedankenbild, a mental image. It is an ideal type that one-sidedly accentuates and intensifies the political way of thinking. Understanding adolescent usage activity and experiences in web-based psychological intervention programs helps in developing universal programs that can be adopted for promotion of adolescent well-being and prevention of mental health problems.
