Peasants and the Political Culture in Norway (c. 1400–1700)
2016
This chapter looks at the major confrontations between the state and peasants in Norway during the period 1400–1700. These have variously been described as rebellions, riots and insurrections. Indeed, one could argue that none of these were full-scale revolts as such, if by that we mean a massive threat to the regime and social order. The peasants and their leaders would never declare that they were seeking to abolish the regime or attack the king nor that they intended to implement a new social or political order. Myślenie dialogiczne. W polu gry o prawdę etyczną
2019
Najpierw p…
Concepts and Concept Formation in Early Modern Philosophy
2013

In the sixteenth and seventeenth century, university teaching in most European universities was dominated by second scholasticism. Francisco Suarez was the most philosophically inventive, as well as most influential, among these early modern scholastics (1).

2019
Any discussion on a person’s right to identity ought to start with a study of the content of a person’s identity. While ascertaining the essence of a person’s identity, the author was inclined to think that the development of a personal identity as a permanent concept was promoted by the genesis of the human dignity, individuality, autonomy and personality of a person. It is human dignity, the manifestation of which, inter alia, is to be found in the person’s identity, which forms the basis of its legal protection, transforming the identity of a person into legal value and, accordingly, creating the right of a person to identity. Thus the article provides a legally philosophical insight int…
