Body mass index categories and anxiety symptoms among adults aged =?50 years from low and middle income countries.

Background: Body weight may be a risk factor for anxiety; however, there is a scarcity of studies on this association in older adults especially from low and middle income countries (LMICs). Therefore, we investigated the association between body mass index (BMI) and anxiety symptoms among adults aged ≥ 50 years from 6 LMICs. Methods: Cross-sectional, community-based, nationally representative data from the World Health Organization (WHO) Study on global AGEing and adult health (SAGE) were analyzed. A Time-Non-Homogeneous Double-Ended Queue with Failures and Repairs and Its Continuous Approximation

We consider a time-non-homogeneous double-ended queue subject to catastrophes and repairs. The catastrophes occur according to a non-homogeneous Poisson process and lead the system into a state of failure. Instantaneously, the system is put under repair, such that repair time is governed by a time-varying intensity function. We analyze the transient and the asymptotic behavior of the queueing system. Stokastinen reunasäännöllisyys ja häiritty köydenvetopeli

Tämän tutkielman tarkoituksena on tutkia Dirichlet'n ongelmaa todennäköisyysteorian ja peliteorian näkökulmasta. Osoittautuu, että käytössä olevan alueen reuna vaikuttaa siihen, onko olemassa Dirichlet'n ongelman ratkaisevaa funktiota, joka saavuttaa oikeat reuna-arvot jatkuvasti. Tutkielmassa määritellään joukon reunasäännöllisyys jatkuva-aikaisen satunnaisliikkeen avulla. Käyttökelpoinen ja riittävä ehto reunapisteen säännöllisyydelle on Poincarén kartioehto. Tässä työssä näytetään myös Wienerin kriteerio, joka on riittävä ja välttämätön ehto reunapisteen säännöllisyydelle.
