Kvalifikācijas darbā ir aprakstīta sistēma interaktīvam grafisku objektu rīkam, kas paredzēta kubisku Bezjē līkņu konstruēšanai, modificēšanai un dzēšanai, izmantojot datorpeli, datora tastatūru vai teksta failus. Sistēma piedāvā ģenerēt četru dažādu veidu Bezjē līknes, tai skaitā interpolētas līknes un saliktas līknes ar C2 nepārtrauktību (B-splaini), papildus izmantojot trīs dažādu veidu parametrizācijas metodes. Iespējams arī izvadīt konstruēto Bezjē līkņu kontrolpunktus un/vai mezglu punktus, kā arī citus līkni raksturojošos lielumus. Time-dependent asymmetric traveling salesman problem with time windows: Properties and an exact algorithm

Abstract In this paper, we deal with the Time-Dependent Asymmetric Traveling Salesman Problem with Time Windows. First, we prove that under special conditions the problem can be solved as an Asymmetric Traveling Salesman Problem with Time Windows, with suitable-defined time windows and (constant) travel times. Second, we show that, if the special conditions do not hold, the time-independent optimal solution provides both a lower bound and (eventually) an upper bound with a worst-case guarantee for the Time-Dependent Asymmetric Traveling Salesman Problem with Time Windows. An optimization approach for communal home meal delivery service

Abstract: This paper is the first to discuss the communal home meal delivery problem. The problem can be modelled as a multiple travelling salesman problem with time windows, that is closely related to the well-studied vehicle routing problem with time windows. Experimental results are reported for a real-life case study from Central Finland over several alternative scenarios using the SPIDER commercial solver. The comparison with current practice reveals that a significant savings potential can be obtained using off-the-shelf optimization tools. As such, the potential for supporting real-life communal routing problems can be considered to be important for VRP practitioners.

Reusability and modularity in transactional workflows

Abstract Workflow management techniques have become an intensive area of research in information systems. In large scale workflow systems modularity and reusability of existing task structures with context dependent (parameterized) task execution are essential components of a successful application. In this paper we study the issues related to management of modular transactional workflows, i.e., workflows that reuse component tasks and thus avoid redundancy in design. The notion of parameterized transactional properties of workflow tasks is introduced and analyzed, and the underlying architectural issues are discussed.

An Effective Multirestart Deterministic Annealing Metaheuristic for the Fleet Size and Mix Vehicle-Routing Problem with Time Windows

This paper presents a new deterministic annealing metaheuristic for the fleet size and mix vehicle-routing problem with time windows. The objective is to service, at minimal total cost, a set of customers within their time windows by a heterogeneous capacitated vehicle fleet. First, we motivate and define the problem. We then give a mathematical formulation of the most studied variant in the literature in the form of a mixed-integer linear program. We also suggest an industrially relevant, alternative definition that leads to a linear mixed-integer formulation.
