Microsoft windows operating system family has a feature to handle exceptions by storing in the stack the address of an exception handler. This feature of Microsoft Windows operating system family is called SEH (Structured exception handlers). When using SEH the exception handler address is specifically located on the stack like the function return address. When an exception occurs the address acts as a trampoline and the EIP jumps to the SEH address. This experiment investigated the role of pop-up fields compared to brackets in an information retrieval task. The results showed that, in this kind of task, putting secondary pieces of information into pop-up fields significantly speeded the search process compared to a condition in which the same information was displayed in brackets.

Monte Carlo simulation of the glass transition in polymer melts: An application of MCT

Abstract This paper reviews the results of a large scale Monte Carlo simulation for the dynamics of a supercooled polymer melt. The dynamics of the melt was studied by means of the time evolution of the incoherent intermediate scattering function φs q(t), which was monitored over seven decades in time. In an intermediate time window it is possible to describe the decay of φs q(t) quantitatively in the framework of mode-coupling theory, provided the extended version of the theory is used.

Kvalifikācijas darba mērķis ir pilnveidot un modernizēt jau esošu informācijas tehnoloģijas infrastruktūru, kas ietver aparatūru, programmatūru, tīkla resursus un pakalpojumus, lai nodrošinātu pilnvērtīgu uzņēmuma IT vides darbību un pārvaldību. Darba teorētiskajā daļā veikta esošā uzņēmuma datortīkla izpētē, lai izprastu esošās problēmas un spētu definēt piemērotākus risinājumus darba plānošanas gaitā. Rezultātā ir veikta daļēja infrastruktūras iekārtu nomaiņa un konfigurēšana, kā arī ieviesta jauna lietojumprogrammatūra un servisi uzņēmuma darbības procesu modernizācijai.

Synergistic and Redundant Brain-Heart Information in Patients with Focal Epilepsy

In this work, partial information decomposition (PID) was applied to the time series of heart rate and EEG amplitude variability to investigate the dynamical interactions in brain-heart coupling before and after epileptic seizures. From ECG and EEG signals collected on 23 children suffering from focal epilepsy, the RR intervals and the EEG variance at ipsilateral and contralateral temporal electrodes were computed in four different time windows before and after the seizures. Sistēma sastāv no 2 komponentēm: servera puses lietotne, kur tiek glabāta visu inkasentu dati un Windows CE portatīvā datu termināļa puses lietotne, kurā inkasents ievada datus un sinhronizē tos ar serveri. Termināļa puses lietotne, izmantojot React izstrādes ietvaru, tika pārrakstīta mobilajām ierīcēm.
