The essay offers an overview of the experience of exile of a group of German and Austrian female writers (Adrienne Thomas, Irmgard Keun, Victoria Wolff, Gina Kaus and Vicki Baum), who had been a symbol of the so–called Neue Frau in the Twenties and emigrated after the rise of National Socialism. Summary OBJECTIVE A variety of regimens continue to be used In the treatment of Graves' disease with antithyrold drugs. We have lnvestigated the factors which determine the initial response to methimazole (time until euthyroidism Is achieved) In Graves' disease. PATIENTS Five hundred and nine patients with Graves' disease in different European countries with normal and subnormal iodine supply. Patients were randomized to treatment with either 10 or 40mg of methimazole per day for one year, with levothyroxine supplementation as required to maintain euthyroidism. Tämän kvalitatiivisen tutkielman tavoitteena on selvittää, millaista lasten välinen vuorovaikutus on kirjasarjoissa, joista toinen edustaa 1940−1960-lukuja ja toinen 1990−2000-lukujen vaihdetta. Tutkielmassa vertailtiin Astrid Lindgrenin Melukylä-kirjasarjaa ja Carina Wolff-Brandtin Johanssoneista kertovaa kirjasarjaa ja analysoitiin, onko lastenkulttuuri samanlaista eri aikoina.Lisäksi tarkasteltiin lasten muuta sosiaalista toimintaa eli sitä, toimivatko lapset yksin vai yhdessä ja keskustelevatko lapset leikkien säännöistä. Gartner's duct cysts associated with renal dysgenesis are rare malformations and represent a diagnostic challenge. We report on one such case in which final diagnosis was achieved by laparoscopy and discuss the possible role of minimally invasive surgery in the management of this condition.

Yksikään kvanttisysteemi ei voi olla täysin eristetty ympäristöstään, mikä johtaa informaation välittymiseen systeemin ja ympäristön välillä. Optomekaniikassa, missä tyypillinen tutkittava systeemi on peileistä koostuva optinen kaviteetti yhdistettynä mekaaniseen värähtelijään, systeemin ja ympäristön lineaarisesta kytkennästä johtuvat dissipaatioilmiöt ovat hyvin tunnettuja. Epälineaarisia ilmiöitä ei kuitenkaan ymmärretä yhtä laajasti. Tutkin epälineaarista kytkentää kaviteetin ja lämpökylvyn välillä ja havainnollistan tästä kytkennästä johtuvia ilmiöitä kuten epälineaarista dissipaatiota.
