The effectiveness of leadership development in the military context from a gender viewpoint

In this case study, leadership development is investigated from the viewpoint of women in a military context. In particular, the effectiveness of a leadership development program in a specific context, namely the Finnish Defence Forces, is explored. The program being studied is unique because it is concerned with developing volunteers, not professional soldiers. A longitudinal, interview-based study of the topic was conducted with women who had participated in the program. The data consists of 45 open-ended interviews with 15 women. Šis pētnieciskais darbs aplūko, kā identitāte un telpa tiek attēlotas Sandras Sisneros romānos „The House on Mango Street” (1989), „Woman Hollering Creek and Other Stories” (1992) un „Caramelo” (2003). Pētījuma mērķis ir izzināt, kā, parvietošanās un dzīves vietas pārmaiņu procesā, vieta ietekmē varoņu hibrīdidentitātes, ļauj saglabāt vietējā iezīmes globālā kontekstā. Pētījums tika veikts ar teksta tuvlasījuma analīzes palīdzību no naratoloģijas perspektīvas. Pētījumā iegūtie rezultāti var tikt izmantoti tālākai identitātes un telpas atainojuma Čikano literatūrā izpētei. En el presente trabajo se pretende interesar al lector en el análisis del fenómeno del alcoholismo femenino. Se tratan diversos temas como el contexto en el que se socializan las mujeres, teniendo en cuenta los cambios acaecidos en la familia como institución y el rol de la mujer en la sociedad. Otra cuestión con referencia a ese contexto es la prevalencia del consumo de alcohol en el colectivo de mujeres en España y las nuevas tendencias de dicho consumo. AbstractAging and menopause are associated with morphological and functional changes which may lead to loss of muscle mass and therefore quality of life. Resistance training (RT) is an effective training mode to increase muscle mass. We reviewed the existing literature to identify studies implementing RT protocols and evaluating muscle hypertrophy exclusively in healthy, postmenopausal and elderly women. Colette’s work reveals the evolution of the woman’s self-awareness that took place in the 20th century, when she rejected the then-publicly accepted image of wife and mother. The author of the Claudine series through moral novelty, by addressing issues of gender identity and homosexuality, undermines stereotypes perpetuating inequalities between the sexes and male domination in the private and public sphere. She also changes the traditional way of portraying a woman in literature, creating a new type of heroine who provoked partners while fighting for her own independence.
