En este artículo se presenta un estudio de caso con el que se indaga en el proceso de escritura desencadenado por la lectura de fuentes de documentación diversas. Para llevar a cabo la investigación, se implementa en un aula de secundaria una secuencia didáctica basada en la modalidad de escritura cooperativa. Mediante el análisis de las interacciones de los equipos de trabajo (hablar para escribir y actividad metalingüística) y de los diferentes textos producidos, se determina la incidencia de las regulaciones externas en la calidad del proceso de escritura y de los productos textuales. The language-(in)dependence of writing skills: translation as a tool in writing process research and writing instruction

A pilot study was conducted in which 6 students with L1 German had to produce a German version of a text they had composed in their L2 English. The goals were to explore (a) in what respects the ability of advanced university English students to express themselves in their L2 English differs from their ability to do so in their L1 German, and (b) for which aspects of writing the implementation of translation exercises is useful as a tool to improve writing skills. Abstract:The analysis of the cognitive processes that are the basis of reading skill has detected some predictors of the development of phonological-orthographic skills necessary in learning it and has identified the naming speed as a good predictor of deficit related to reading difficulties.
