The objectives of this paper are twofold: to prove the thesis on the openness of a purposefully selected researcher and to take advantage of the opportunity to present some of his thoughts, taken from his abundant publications (more than three hundred items). The authors focus on the presentation of one topic, i.e. openness in the works of linguist Professor Wojciech Chlebda. The article attempts to define the place of style and stylistics in the process of teaching Polish as the first language. The paper takes as its reference the current Polish language curriculum, adopting the assumption that curriculum documents present the typical approach to style and stylistics found in Polish language didactics. Issues of style and stylistics are introduced in education in association with the development of productive skills (speaking and writing) and receptive skills (reading and listening). Le fonctionnement des rivières du bassin de l’Èbre a subi d’importants changements depuis 1950. Il s’agit d’un processus rapide et très marqué, de simplification et de stabilisation sur le fleuve principal et sur ses principaux affluents pyrénéens. Ce processus s’est manifesté par des changements dans la morphologie fluviale, le développement de la végétation sur les lits, un rétrécissement de l’espace naturel fluvial et une incision des lits fluviaux. Effects of contextual variables on strategic investment decision-making styles: An empirical study from Pakistan.

There is a gap in the literature of strategic investment decision making (SIDM) concerning the links between context variables, infrastructure and SIDM practices (or SIDM styles) in developing countries. This research aims to fill that gap. Survey data (N = 128) from the manufacturing companies listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange was collected via an e-mailed questionnaire and visits to the companies. Data are analyzed with factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results reveal what we call four different SIDM styles (or emphases): managerial power-, financial analysis-, top management-, and strategy-based investing. Nuorten suomalaisten pikajuoksijoiden kehittymisen seuranta ja analysointi

Johdanto. Tutkimuksessa analysoitiin nuorten suomalaisten pikajuoksijoiden kehitystä, sekä vertailtiin tyttöjen ja poikien kehityksen eroja. Murrosiässä nuorten kehossa tapahtuu paljon muutoksia, jotka vaikuttavat myös urheilusuoritukseen. Hormonitoiminnan vilkastuminen johtaa kudosten kasvuun, minkä seurauksena tulee kehitystä urheilussa. Jokaisella kasvu ja kehitys ovat yksilöllistä. Valmentajan tulee huomioida nuorten fyysinen kasvu harjoittelussa. Menetelmät. Tutkimuksessa seurattiin yleisurheilun alueleirien pikajuoksijoiden testi- ja kilpailutuloksia. Sukupuolen representaatiot Imagen henkilöpääjutuissa vuosina 2012 ja 2013

Tässä tutkimuksessa selvitetään, miten sukupuolta representoidaan Imagen henkilöpääjutuissa. Henkilöpääjutuksi on määritelty lehden kannessa olevan henkilön haastattelu. Tutkimuksen aineistona ovat vuoden 2012 ja 2013 Imaget. Niistä on kuitenkin rajattu pois neljä juttua, jotka eivät sopineet henkilökuvan määritelmään. Tutkimuksen analyysimenetelmänä käytetään kriittistä diskurssianalyysiä. Analyysissä paneudutaan kielenkäytön taustalla oleviin yhteiskunnan valtarakenteisiin sekä sukupuolen eri ilmenemismuotoihin kyseisissä rakenteissa.
