Silica powder obtained by sol-gel method as a support of organometallic vanadium catalyst for ethylene polymerization

Sol-gel technique was employed to obtain the silica-type powder, which after modification procedure was applied as asupport of organometallic catalytic system for ethylene polymerization. The powder product was synthesized using hydrolysis and condensation of TEOS, catalyzed by ammonia. Obtained material and a reference support (commercial silica Davisil) were characterized to determine their particle size distributions, BET surface area, pore volume and diameter. On the autocorrelation function of Rice processes for unsymmetrical doppler power spectral densities

In this paper, we derive an analytical expression for the ACF of Rice processes in the general case of unsymmetrical Doppler power spectral densities. This expression, which is obtained based on the multidimensional Gaussian distribution approach, is shown to cover the ACF of Rayleigh processes as a special case. Various numerical examples are presented to illustrate the impact of the channel parameters on the ACF. Computer simulations, considering the von Mises distribution for the angle of arrivals, are also performed to check the validity of the analytical result. Finally, the analysis of the covariance spectrum is addressed.

A route to simple nonionic surfactants

AbstractA method for the synthesis of nonionic surfactants – N-alkyl-O-(2-hydroxyethyl) carbamates is proposed by acylation of fatty amines with ethylene carbonate without any solvent or catalyst. The surface tension of the prepared surfactants was measured, toxicity and biodegradability were determined for the surfactant with n-dodecyl as a hydrophobic group and N-monosubstituted amide and hydroxyl groups for their hydrophilic part.

This paper aims to analyse and describe relationships and communication in Twitter in relation to vocational education and training reform in Finland. Data were collected during the early implementation phase of the reform from January 2018 to early June 2018. The data included 2400 tweets containing the hashtag #amisreformi (VET reform). Social network analysis was utilised to study the network and communities. The main themes of the tweets were analysed using thematic analysis, and automated sentiment analysis was used to examine the tones of the tweets and public opinion. End-to-end link performance of an asymmetric and asynchronous dual-hop decode-and-forward (DF) relay system built up using a causal multirate filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) technique operated under Rayleigh fading is presented. Tässä pro gradu –tutkielmassa tarkastellaan digitalisaation vaikutuksia Suomen valokuvataiteen museon yleisötyötoimintaan.
