In contrast to the large body of research on the effects of stress-induced cortisol on memory consolidation in young people, far less attention has been devoted to understanding the effects of stress-induced testosterone on this memory phase. This study examined the psychobiological (i.e., anxiety, cortisol, and testosterone) response to the Maastricht Acute Stress Test and its impact on free recall and recognition for emotional and neutral material. Tutkimuksessa verrattiin sanojen, pseudosanojen (merkityksettömien sanojen) ja tekstin lukemisen nopeutta ja tarkkuutta sekä nopean sarjallisen nimeämisen ja fonologisen prosessoinnin yhteyttä lukemisvaikeuksisten ja tyypillisesti lukevien nuorten ryhmissä. The study aimed at investigating how different young people going through the post-high school transition set, monitor, pursue, and renegotiate career goals in real-time and in everyday life circumstances. A theoretically driven proposition supported the conceptualization of career goals as complex dynamic systems and guided the examination and description of the moment-to-moment processes shaping the (re)construction of career goals.
