Predictors of early dropout in treatment for gambling disorder: The role of personality disorders and clinical syndromes

Several treatment options for gambling disorder (GD) have been tested in recent years; however dropout levels still remain high. This study aims to evaluate whether the presence of psychiatric comorbidities predicts treatment outcome according to Millon's evolutionary theory, following a six-month therapy for GD. The role of severity, duration of the disorder, typology of gambling (mainly online or offline) and pharmacological treatment were also analysed. Abstract An integrated high resolution study based both on a seismostratigraphic approach and on a sedimentary core (VIB 10), collected in the outer shelf (127 m depth) from the southern Tyrrhenian Sea (Gulf of Termini, Sicily), provides new data about climatic, eustatic and paleoenvironmental changes during the last ∼41,000 years. The results based on the interpretation of a seismic profile, on benthic foraminifera assemblages and on δ18O records, allowed recognition of two drastic sea-level falls during the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) and the Younger Dryas (YD). Based on examples taken in the 20th and 21st centuries (Debussy, Berg, Webern, Stravinsky, Stockhausen, Kagel, Ferrari, La Monte Young, Xenakis, Adams, De Chizy, De Mey, Trapani?), musicological study ultimately deduces that the metaphor of movement is for man an experience considered fundamental to his particular relationship to the world.

El esta monografia se presentan los principales resultados del proyecto Europeo "Free to Chose" acerca del impacto de los estereotipos de género en la transición escuela trabajo, realizado en 5 países de la Europa Mediterránea: Italia, España, Portugal, Chipre y Slovenia. Se presenta el marco teórico en le que se trabajó acerca de los estereotipos y concretamente sobre ls de género, seguidamente se presentan los datos de los cinco países relativos a las brechas de género en la educación y en el trabajo y finalmente se ofrecen sugerencias acerca de como crear juegos para aumentar la conciencias de los jóvenes de que muchas creencias solo son estereotipos.

Congenital anomalies of kidney and urinary tract (CAKUT) occur in up to 3.2% of infants, and in almost one third of cases they are associated to genital aberrations. DMSA renal scintigraphy is considered the gold standard in CAKUT patients, to assess renal function, depict and locate ectopic kidney and to guide eventual surgical management. Recent cases have shown the noticeable limit of scintigraphy in detecting poorly functional renal moieties and associated genital anomalies; thus leading to a substantial delay in therapy, and, in females, to severe uro-gynecological complications.
