This article presents the history of one of the largest Polish cemeteries in the Eastern Borderlands. Thousands of Poles, including artists, poets, writers, sculptors, prominent politicians, local government officials and soldiers fighting for Polish independence in various uprisings, were buried in the Sapieżyński Cemetery during its 200-year-long history. The necropolis was closed down by the Soviet authorities in 1980, and the entire area was bulldozed. Crushed tombstones were transported outside the city, and a theater building and a hotel were developed on the site. Development of a 3D CZT detector prototype for Laue Lens telescope

We report on the development of a 3D position sensitive prototype suitable as focal plane detector for Laue lens telescope. The basic sensitive unit is a drift strip detector based on a CZT crystal, (similar to 19x8 mm(2) area, 2.4 mm thick), irradiated transversally to the electric field direction. The anode side is segmented in 64 strips, that divide the crystal in 8 independent sensor (pixel), each composed by one collecting strip and 7 (one in common) adjacent drift strips. The drift strips are biased by a voltage divider, whereas the anode strips are held at ground. Konvencijas piemērošanā viena no aktuālām problēmām ir preču atbilstības līguma noteikumiem noteikšana, ņemot vērā preču nemateriālo īpašību pieaugošo nozīmi. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir apskatīt Konvencijā ietvertos, kā arī praksē pielietotos interpretācijas modeļus preču atbilstības līguma noteikumiem noteikšanai. Bakalaura darba ietvaros galvenokārt tika apskatīti Konvencijā noteiktie priekšnoteikumi preču atbilstības noteikšanai un vadoties no to piemērošanas prakses, izmantojot salīdzināšanu un analoģiju tika analizēti problemātiskie aspekti un teorētiskie risinājumi.

Radiation detectors based on Cadmium Zinc Telluride (CZT) compounds are becoming popular solutions thanks to their high detection efficiency, room temperature operation, and to their reliability in compact detection systems for medical, astrophysical, or industrial applications. Cinka oksīdu, kadmija oksīdu un to cietos šķīdumus mēģina plašāk pielietot elektronikā, pateicoties to fizikālajam īpašībām. Uz to bāzes ražo dažādas heterostruktūras un heteropārejas, kuras ir galvenās sastāvdaļas starojuma avotos un detektoros. Šajā maģistra darbā ir apkopota informācija par cinka oksīda, kadmija oksīda un to cieto šķīdumu kārtiņu iegūšanas metodēm, aprakstītas šo materiālu galvenās īpašības. Darba praktiskajā daļā parādītas jaunās ekstrakcijas-pirolītiskās metodes iespējas ZnO-CdO plāno kārtiņu iegūšanai uz stikla un kvarca pamatnēm. A particular favourite amongst the numerous 19th century „manuals for organists” was the Handbuch für Organisten, which was published for the first time in 1871 by Leuckart in Leipzig. Its author was Bernhard Kothe, a famous Silesian organist, conductor, composer, teacher, publicist, editor and an organiser of musical life. The Handbuch is a handy volume destined mainly for liturgical use. The collection comprises 346 smaller pieces of organ music, 46 modulation samples as well as an additional compilation of 18 easy preludes in the most frequently used ranges.
