Negotiating a transnational career around borders: Women's stories in boundaryless academia

The study aimed to give voice to two women sport scientists' life stories to centralize the challenges and ways of coping their career journeys entailed, and enlighten our understanding of the lived experience and meaning of academic migrating. They shared transnational career stories through interviews and ongoing conversations which we re-story in a creative non-fiction story where we blended the two. Los partidarios de la renovación literaria, científica y filosófica alcanzaron gran prestigio e influencia en la Valencia de finales del siglo XVII. La fundación de academias de diferentes tipos y orientaciones constituye la más acabada expresión de esta realidad. El nacimiento de la Academia del Alcázar, las actividades desarrolladas por sus miembros como manifestación de una incipiente cultura cortesana durante la penúltima década de la centuria y la dimensión política que cabe atribuir a todas ellas son analizadas en la segunda parte de este artículo. Reflexiones sobre la creación del mito de la Historia del Arte, es decir la conversión de la experiencia artística en reflexión histórica e ideológica. El desarrollo de esta disciplina se lleva a cabo a partir de un concepto tomado de la religión: el canon. Se verá también la manera cómo el arte convertido en religión, promueve la aparición de la disciplina que se encargará de crear el cuerpo de creencias necesarias para el mantenimiento de esta religión, y la serie sucesiva de impugnaciones que genera. Measuring health promotion in a sports club setting: a modified Delphi study

Abstract Background The settings-based approach has become an increasing focus in health promotion since the World Health Organization’s 1986 Ottawa Charter. Schools and cities have implemented this approach, but development within sports clubs is limited. Thus, an internationally validated measurement of health promotion within this setting is lacking. Methods A modified Delphi study was completed to develop an international evaluation tool grounded in the settings-based approach. Expert panelists from academia, sports and health sectors were invited to participate in 3 online rounds. El objetivo del presente artículo es contribuir al conocimiento de la trayectoria académica y de la producción artística de José Romá. Se trata de un importante artista de la primera mitad del siglo XIX, poco conocida en la actualidad, principalmente por sus lienzos de flores. Este estudio da a conocer nuevas pruebas documentales que demuestran sus aspiraciones a convertirse en “pintor de Historia”; aporta información sobre su formación y su variada actividad pictórica e incluye un análisis de una composición de flores hasta ahora desconocida.
