[EN] Academic performance is a concern of paramount importance in Spain, where around of 30% of the students in the last two courses in high school, before to access to the labor market or to the university, do not achieve the minimum knowledge required according to the Spanish educational law in force. In order to analyze this problem, we propose a random network model to study the dynamics of the academic performance in Spain. IntelliPy: a GUI for analyzing IntelliCage data

Abstract Summary The IntelliCage systems offer the possibility to conduct long-term behavioral experiments on mice in social groups without human intervention. Although this setup provides new findings, only about 150 studies with the IntelliCage system have been published in the last two decades, which is also caused by the challenging problems of processing and handling the large and heterogeneous amounts of captured data. Abstract Summary Lipids exhibit an essential role in cellular assembly and signaling. Dysregulation of these functions has been linked with many complications including obesity, diabetes, metabolic disorders, cancer and more. Investigating lipid profiles in such conditions can provide insights into cellular functions and possible interventions. Hence the field of lipidomics is expanding in recent years. Understanding University Library Users' Mistreatment of Books

This paper analyses university library users' attitudes towards book vandalism in order to develop a basis for intervention. Using a customer oriented approach data was collected from users who attended an academic library exhibition on vandalized books at a University campus. Respondants were asked both for their reactions to the vandalism as well as to suggest measures to solve this problem. Punishment and surveillance were most frequently mentioned as preventative measures although users also recognized the utility of the exhibition in increasing awareness of book mutilation. Further implications of social marketing for libraries are also discussed.

The Latvian Student fraternity Fraternitas Lettica, accompanied by its guard of honour, arrives at the Riga Forest Cemetery to participate in the unveiling of the tombstone of its member, Alfrēds Būmanis, Latvian lawyer and professor of law at the Faculty of Economics and Law of the University of Latvia. The unveiling of the tombstone coincides with the collapse of the USSR and the restoration of Latvia's independence.
