After losing a close other, individuals usually confide in an empathic friend to receive comfort and they seem to have a heightened desire for mood-congruent, consoling music. Hence, it has been proposed that affect-congruent music acts as a social surrogate for an empathic friend. Thus, we hypothesized that listening to comforting music, as a response to a social loss experience, provides a sense of empathic company as indicated by reduced loneliness and heightened empathy. We contribute to the entrepreneurial intentions literature by applying the theory of planned behaviour and resource-based views to the model of active entrepreneurs’ intention to develop their pluriactive businesses. Using our 2012 survey data from farm firms in Finland, we address the limited focus on active entrepreneurs and their intentions to develop on-going income-generating, off-farm related business activities. MMN amplitude is reduced in people with schizophrenia. El objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar las diferencias en ajuste psicológico en víctimas de acoso escolar en función de la calidad de sus relaciones con padres, profesores e iguales. En concreto, se compararon cuatro indicadores de ajuste psicológico (autoestima, ánimo depresivo, soledad y percepción de estrés) en víctimas con buena o mala comunicación con la madre, buena o mala comunicación con el padre, alta o baja percepción de ayuda del profesor, y alta o baja identificación con su grupo de iguales. Background. The aim of this report was to evaluate the clinical profile and previous management of patients with uncontrolled neuropathic pain who were referred to pain clinics. Methods. We included adult patients with uncontrolled pain who had a score of ≥4 in the DN4 questionnaire. In addition to sociodemographic and clinical data, we evaluated pain levels using a visual analog scale as well as anxiety, depression, sleep, disability, and treatment satisfaction employing validated tools.
