Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää, onko työikäisten (25–64-vuotiaiden) miesten terveysliikunnan lukutaito yhteydessä vapaa-ajan liikunta-aktiivisuuteen ja fyysiseen kuntoon. Aineisto oli osa Jyväskylän yliopiston Terveyden edistämisen tutkimuskeskuksen ja LIKES-tutkimuskeskuksen yhteistyössä toteuttamaa ”Sisältääkö suomalaisen miehen liikunnan terveyden lukutaito tajua ja toimintaa?” -tutkimusta (2008–2009). Longitudinal and cross-sectional associations of adherence to 24-hour movement guidelines with cardiometabolic risk

This study aimed to examine 1) adherence to 24-hour movement guidelines over a 2-year follow-up in children aged 6-8 years and 2) association of this adherence with cardiometabolic risk factors. Physical activity and sleep were assessed by a monitor combining heart rate and accelerometry measurements. Screen time was reported by the parents. Body fat percentage, waist circumference, blood glucose, serum insulin, plasma lipids and blood pressure were assessed, and a cardiometabolic risk score was calculated using z-scores. Objective To evaluate the effects of a physical exercise program on days lived at home, the use and costs of healthcare and social services mortality and functional independence among patients with hip fractures. Tämän kandidaatintutkielman tarkoituksena oli analysoida Fëanoria, fantasiakirjailija J.R.R. Tolkienin luomaa fiktiivistä sankarihahmoa. Kuvaileva kirjallisuustutkimus jakaantui kahteen osaan: Toisaalta Fëanoria verrattiin traagisen sankarin käsitteeseen käyttämällä Aristoteleen Runousopissa (330-320 eKr.) kuvailemia sääntöjä ja vaatimuksia. Background: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is commonly associated with cardiac dysfunction, which may be reflected by abnormal electrocardiograms (ECG) and/or contractility. TBI-related cardiac disorders depend on the type of cerebral injury, the region of brain damage and the severity of the intracranial hypertension. Decompressive craniectomy (DC) is commonly used to reduce intra-cranial hypertension (ICH). Although DC decreases ICH rapidly, its effect on ECG has not been systematically studied. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine whether wisdom is a mediator in the relation-ships between religious meaning system and social support among older adults. According to the theory of gerotranscendence, associations of religiousness and social support are complex and sug- gest the existence of wisdom in their internal structures. In the ?barri del mercat?, in the city of Valencia and very close to its Lonja, there is a building complex which is the object of this study. The research, carried out from the simple field of toponymy, to the constructive analysis, lead us to suppose that it is the building of the Valencian trade union of cloth-shearers. It can be seen how the building now camouflaged by other subsequent interventions, corresponds to a type that cannot be related to those usually built in the city of Valencia. The paper focuses on the ?unexpected pathways? of successful students with an immigrant background: these biographical routes, that seems socially impossible, raise theoretical issues around the individual-society, actor-structure relationship. Disadvantaged students who succeed represent a sociological challenge in the attempt to understand atypical situations and to identify the institutional processes and the structural opportunities that facilitate them, reducing ethnic inequalities in education.
