New public management (NPM) is perceived as a method for restoring the effectiveness of municipal organizations. In Finland, it is the main motivator for the reconstruction of municipal and state-driven public sectors. Our article explores the power relations created through implementing the NPM ideology, and how those power relations are constructed and renegotiated between office-holders and politicians in a Finnish municipal organization. We contribute to the NPM literature through an empirical study by introducing forms of power, including previously neglected concealed power. Energeettisten protonien jarruuntuminen nestemäisessä vedessä

Tämän työn tarkoituksena oli mitata protonien jarruuntumiskyky nestemäisessä vedessä energia-alueella 4 - 20 MeV. Työssä käytettiin micro channel plate -pohjaisia lentoaikailmaisimia. Lopputulosten suhteelliset virheet vaihtelivat välillä 2,0 - 16,5 % mediaanin ollessa 4,2 % ja keskiarvon 5,3 %. Saadut tulokset olivat hyvässä sopusoinnussa ICRU:n raportin numero 49 antamien simuloitujen arvojen kanssa. Energialtaan 4 - 16 MeV protonien mitatut jarruuntumiskyvyt poikkesivat noin yhden prosentin tai vähemmän simuloiduista arvoista. Constraints on partial half-lives of 136Ce and 138Ce double electron captures

The γ-ray emissions from a radiopure cerium-bromide crystal with a mass of 4381 g were measured for a total of 497.4 d by means of high-resolution γ-ray spectrometry in the HADES underground laboratory at a depth of 500 m.w.e. A search for 0/2νεε and 0/2νεβ+ double beta decay transitions of 136Ce and 138Ce was performed using Bayesian analysis techniques. No signals were observed for a total of 35 investigated decay modes. 90% credibility limits were set in the order of 1018–1019 yr. Existing constraints from a cerium oxide powder measurement were tested with a different cerium compound and half-life limits could be improved for most of the decay modes. This study examined the associations of work schedules and spousal satisfaction among Finnish (n = 347), Dutch (n = 304) and British (n = 337) parents. In addition to comparing parents with nonstandard schedule with parents in regular day work, the study examined separately the roles played in spousal satisfaction of morning, evening, night and weekend work and other working time-related variables (working hours, changes in and influence over one’s work schedules and spouse’s work schedule).
