Intravenous iron therapy in patients with heart failure. A double-edged sword

We read with interest the article of Beck-da-Silva et al., who recently concluded that intravenous (IV) iron seems to be superior over oral supplementation for improving functional capacity of heart failure patients [1]. Irrespective of the study design, involving comparison of functional outcomes between two different means of iron supplementation, we raise some clinical issues about the rationale underlying this investigation. International audience; This paper reviews multi-scale computational homogenisation frameworks for the non-linear behaviour of heterogeneous thin planar shells. Based on a review of some of the currently available methods, a computational homogenisation scheme for shells is applied on to representative volume elements for plain weave composites. The effect of flexural loading on the potential failure modes of such materials is analysed, focusing on the reinforcement-matrix delamination mechanism. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot saistību starp orientāciju uz nākotni un sasniegumu motivāciju, ka arī saistību starp šo konstruktu apakšskalām. Pētījumā piedalījās 52 viena Latvijas būvuzņēmuma administratīvie darbinieki (16 sievietes, 36 vīrieši), vecumā no 18 līdz 40 gadiem (vidējais respondenta vecums 32,22 gadi, SD 4,79). Ka pētījuma metode tika izvēlēta elektroniskā anketēšanas metode. Tämä tutkielma tarkastelee nuorsuomalaisen maailmankuvan rakentumista ja ulottuvuuksia 1800-luvun viimeisinä vuosikymmeninä. Lähdeaineistona on käytetty neljää nuorsuomalaista sanomalehteä: Keski-Suomea, Savoa, Viipurin Sanomia ja Päivälehteä. Menetelmänä on ollut kriittinen diskurssianalyysi, jonka kautta on pyritty hahmottelemaan, miten nuorsuomalaiset representoivat keskustelun teemoja sekä konstruoivat omaa identiteettiään ja positiotaan suhteessa vastustajiinsa.
