A CNN Adaptive Model to Estimate PM10 Monitoring

In this work we introduce a model for studying the distribution and control of atmospheric pollution from PM10. The model is based on the use of a cellular neural network (CNN) and more precisely on the integration of the mass-balance equation; at the same time it simulates the scenario regarding a planar grid describing the whole studied area (the city of Palermo) by means of a CNN and a set of Bayesian networks. The health burden of air pollution on the world’s children is immense. Environmental factors are responsible for an estimated 26% of all children’s death worldwide. A large body of research exists on the effects of air pollution on children’s health, including effects on fetal growth, birth outcomes, lung development and function, asthma, respiratory infection and otitis media. It is also clearly linked to a higher risk of developing asthma, a major cause of morbidity in children. Indoor environments contribute significantly to total human exposure to air pollutants. Gaisa kvalitātes novērtējums Balvos ar lihenoindikācijas metodi

Bakalaura darbā „Gaisa kvalitātes novērtējums Balvos ar lihenoindikācijas metodi” tiek apkopots materiāls par gaisa piesārņojuma pakāpi, to veidiem un ietekmējošiem faktoriem Balvu pilsētā, kā arī ķērpju vispārīgu raksturojumu un metodēm, kas tiek pielietotas bioindikācijā. Darbā tika novērtēta Balvu pilsētas gaisa kvalitāte ar 5 ķērpju indikatorsugām, kas tika izmantotās kā bioindikatori. Pilsētas teritorija tika iedalīta 26 kvadrātos. Lielākajā pilsētas teritorijā ir zems gaisa piesārņojums- 45%, tīrs gaiss ir 40% un vidējs gaisa piesārņojums - 15%.
