Tämän pro gradu- tutkielman tarkoituksena on selvittää mitä ympäristöherkkyys esteettisen ympäristökasvatuksen kontekstissa tarkoittaa ja mitä hyötyä siitä voi olla ihmisen metsäsuhteen rakentamiselle ja lujittamiselle. Tutkielman lähtökohtana on ollut huoli siitä, että yhä useamman suomalaisen luontosuhde tuntuu heikkenevän koko ajan, minkä seurauksena sekä ihmisten että luonnon hyvinvointi heikkenee. Suomessa metsä on yleisin ja helpoimmin saavutettava luontotyyppi, joten muodostamme luontosuhteemme useimmin juuri metsään. Pro gradu -työ tutkii henkilökohtaisten muistojen merkitystä ja käyttöä luovassa kirjoittamisessa. Se tarkastelee eri näkökulmista luovan työn ja ennen muuta kirjoittamisen virikkeitä. Työssä käsitellään myös eri aistien vaikutusta kirjoittamisprosessiin ja pohditaan voiko aisteja stimuloimalla vaikuttaa kirjoittamiseen. Kaksiosaiseen työhön kuuluu tämän tieteellisen tutkimusosuuden lisäksi taiteellinen osuus eli romaanikäsikirjoitus. Scavenging in the realm of senses: smell and vision drive recruitment at carcasses in Neotropical ecosystems

Social information, acquired through the observation of other individuals, is especially relevant among species belonging to the same guild. The unpredictable and ephemeral nature of carrion implies that social mechanisms may be selected among scavenger species to facilitate carcass location and consumption. Here, we apply a survival-modelling strategy to data obtained through the placement and monitoring of carcasses in the field to analyse possible information transmission cascades within a Neotropical scavenger community. Sensory ethnography is a reflexive and experiential process, in which the role of the researcher as embodied subject is crucial. It is based on the idea that all human beings are connected to materiality and the physical environment through their sensing bodies. At the core of sensory ethnography are sensory experiences (sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch), and their role in social practices and relations. Michel Foucault (1926-1984) is not really known as a thinker of music, or more generally, as a thinker of the voice, of the sound, of audition and listening. Often, one comes up with the portrait of Foucault as a visualist of some sort, one who either was not interested in the other sensory modalities, or at least, did not have much, if anything, to say about them.
