Towards sustainable servicescape : tourists’ perspectives of accommodation service attributes

The study uses content analysis to identify the sustainable attributes in 678 accommodation reviews from Finnish and Russian tourists published on the Tripadvisor website and examines the sustainability perceptions of these tourist groups. The servicescape framework was applied to the structuring of the attributes indicating sustain-ability in accommodation services. The sustainable attributes highlighted in the reviews were more frequently in the physical rather than in the social servicescape factor. Objective. The purpose of the study was to examine the acute effects of the timing of exercise on the glycemic control during and after exercise in T2D. Methods. This study included 26 T2D patients (14 women and 12 men) who were treated with metformin. All patients were tested on four occasions: metformin administration alone (Metf), high-intensity interval training (HIIT) performed at 30 minutes (EX30), 60 minutes (EX60), and 90 minutes (EX90) postbreakfast, respectively. Simulation environment for the C14-experiment

In this thesis, a simulation environment utilizing Geant4 simulation toolkit was constructed to study the C14 experiment located at the Pyhäsalmi Mine, Finland. The C14 experiment aims to find a liquid scintillator sample with the least amount of 14C, the radioactive isotope of carbon, with concentration preferably less than 10^-18. The scintillator detector used in the experiment consists of a 1.6 liter cylindrical vessel filled with liquid scintillator, two 20 cm conical light guides connected to the ends of the vessel and two low-background photomultiplier tubes to detect scintillator light. AbstractModern companies regularly use social media to communicate with their customers. In addition to the content, the reach of a social media post may depend on the season, the day of the week, and the time of the day. We consider optimizing the timing of Facebook posts by a large Finnish consumers’ cooperative using historical data on previous posts and their reach. The content and the timing of the posts reflect the marketing strategy of the cooperative. These choices affect the reach of a post via a dynamic process where the reactions of users make the post more visible to others.
