BackgroundLymnaeid snails transmit medical and veterinary important trematodiases, mainly fascioliasis. Vector specificity of fasciolid parasites defines disease distribution and characteristics. Different lymnaeid species appear linked to different transmission and epidemiological patterns. Pronounced susceptibility differences to absolute resistance have been described among lymnaeid populations. When assessing disease characteristics in different endemic areas, unexpected results were obtained in studies on lymnaeid susceptibility to Fasciola. Con el presente artículo hemos conseguido estudiar y dar a conocer más datos sobre el Gremio de Albañiles de la ciudad de Valencia de 1675 a 1787, coincidiendo con el devenir del arte barroco y el comienzo del período neoclásico, especialmente a través de las preguntas formuladas en los exámenes de los oficiales para obtener el grado de maestro de dicho gremio. Del mismo modo, brindamos la lista completa de todos los examinantes entre los años aludidos. (A)
Fascioliasis and other plant-borne trematode zoonoses

Fascioliasis and other food-borne trematodiases are included in the list of important helminthiases with a great impact on human development. Six plant-borne trematode species have been found to affect humans: Fasciola hepatica, Fasciola gigantica and Fasciolopsis buski (Fasciolidae), Gastrodiscoides hominis (Gastrodiscidae), Watsonius watsoni and Fischoederius elongatus (Paramphistomidae). Whereas F. hepatica and F. gigantica are hepatic, the other four species are intestinal parasites. Fascioliasis is widespread in livestock in Argentina. Among activities included in a long-term initiative to ascertain which are the fascioliasis areas of most concern, studies were performed in a recreational farm, including liver fluke infection in different domestic animal species, classification of the lymnaeid vector and verification of natural transmission of fascioliasis by identification of the intramolluscan trematode larval stages found in naturally infected snails. Il manoscritto dell'Anonimo Epirota: alcune ipotesi filologiche

Nel 1918 Giuseppe Schirò dichiarava di possedere un manoscritto contenente una versione inedita in lingua albanese del Vangelo di San Matteo eseguita da un «Anonimo Epirota». Per lunghi decenni del manoscritto non si ebbe nessun’altra notizia sino a quando l’archivio privato di Schirò non venne acquisito da Matteo Mandalà e conservato presso la Cattedra albanologica dell’Università di Palermo. Soltanto a partire da quel momento, si è potuta ricostruire la storia del Vangelo di San Matteo dell’«Anonimo Epirota», oggetto dello studio filologico che si presenta.
