Da alcuni anni vari enti regionali erogano a fondo perduto a favore di produzioni cinematografiche o televisive nei loro territori, talvolta attraverso le c.d. Film Commission. The first palaeontological study of the locality of Quibas dates from the end of the 1990s (Montoya et al., 1999), describing over 60 vertebrate taxa. One of these was a caprine assigned to Capra sp. aff. Capra alba. Recent excavations yielded new remains of this taxon, which permits a more profound study of its affinities and an assignation to Capra alba, without reservation. This assignation is based on the morphological and metrical comparison of the skulls, horn cores, dentition and metapodials from Quibas with those of Capra alba from Venta Micena (Orce Granada).

Names of Snakes in Latvian Texts of the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries This article analyses the naming of snakes in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Latvian texts which are taken from the Corpus of Early Written Latvian Texts, containing the first Latvian dictionaries, religious texts, and some secular texts. The objective of the paper is to try to determine how precisely the translators of religious texts rendered names of snakes, and to ascertain whether any semantic changes have taken place, or whether religious texts show specific use. AbstractSnails of the family Lymnaeidae are of great parasitological importance due to the numerous helminth species they transmit, mainly trematodiases (such as fascioliasis) of considerable medical and veterinary impact. The present knowledge of the genetics and host–parasite relationships of this gastropod group is far from adequate. Fascioliasis is caused by two species, Fasciola hepatica and F. gigantica, which, as in the case of other trematodes, show a marked snail host specificity. Albanian emigration was a historic phenomenon which extended over a long period, and of which different countries of the inter-Adriatic area were the final destination. Besides different regions in present-day Italy, Istria as well constituted a destination. The Albanians arrived there at the end of the 15th century. According to documents from archives, the Istrian settlement displays the connotations of similar migrations – though the latter were much more complex – across the Italian peninsula. Documents reflect the common organisational skills of various groups of migrants.
Sesquiterpene lactones, waxes and volatile compounds from Artemisia herba-alba subspecies Valentina

Abstract The structures of two sesquiterpene lactones isolated from Artemisia herba-alba subsp. valentina have been determined by spectroscopic methods. One of these was dihydroreynosin, the other was a new compound assigned the name torrentin. The chemical compositions of a wax and a hydrocarbon fraction from the essential oil have also been investigated.

Il saggio ricostruisce l'attività intellettuale di T. S. Velasti e illumina il suo contributo alla definizione della questione della lingua greca alla luce della documentazione inedita conservata presso l'Archivio del Seminario Greco Albanese di Palermo, dove trovò riparo dopo la soppressione della Compagnia di Gesù in Sicilia nel 1767. The essay reconstructs the intellectual activity of T. S. Velasti and illuminates his contribution to the definition of the question of the Greek language in the light of the unpublished documentation preserved in the Archives of the Greek Albanian Seminary in Palermo, where he found shelter after the suppression of the Society of Jesus in Sicily in 1767.
