Territory, local architecture, daily life uses and customs have been placed side by side to “dignified” finds in the role of testimony of the past. Such testimony is firmly connected to the territory and its landscape. In fact, the sites of archaeological interest, but mostly the prehistoric sites, are recognized not only for their intrinsic value, but also for the space that they represent. È stata presentata ad Abano Terme la mostra Intersezioni, con opere degli artisti Daniela e Marzia Banci per arte orafa e scultura, Vittorio Spigai per pittura e scultura. Aperta dal 4 settembre al 4 ottobre, è stata prorogata sino al 10 ottobre per consentire la visita alle molte persone prenotate, che si sono dovute alternare a causa delle normative Covid19. La mostra propone un programma costruito tra riflessione filosofica, studi iconologici, arte orafa, pittura e scultura, con un discorso introduttivo di Umberto Curi.

One of the most interesting problems of the "representations" of the prehistory in museums is constituted by the difficulty to make the images of the physical people. In some cases, the presence of contemporary artists has been useful to resolve the problem, in others the solution is submitted to the so-called paleo-artists, in others still it is the whole presentation that assumes, in its complex, evocative characters. This article examines some interesting examples, on the thread conductor of one of the great mysteries of the most distant prehistory: the anxious image of Neanderthal man.

The permanent exhibition in the Archaeological Museum, which focuses on the history of the Delphic temenos and the events related to the famous oracle and omphalos, is analyzed through the complex and delicate relationship which the contemporary museum building has established with his context, as the archaeological site of Delphi can be read as an open-air museum, which was able to accumulate and settle inside its perimeter, in a variety of declinations, the architecture and the art of ancient Hellas.

Il progetto di ampliamento del cimitero di Grisì, nel Comune di Monreale, oltre a soddisfare le richieste funzionali implicite nel tema progettuale, ha il fine di riproporre quel rapporto solidale che si riscontra tra i manufatti storici, presenti in questo territorio, e il paesaggio agricolo. Nel nuovo cimitero trovano posto un campo d’inumazione e diversi colombari per la tumulazione che assumono diverse configurazioni architettoniche. Lungo il recinto murario, si interseca il volume cubico dell’ossario e si dispone una lunga fascia di servizi.
