Confined crystallization of a HKUST-1 metal–organic framework within mesostructured silica with enhanced structural resistance towards water

A HKUST-1 metal–organic framework was crystallized in the NH2-modified mesostructured silica FDU-12 in order to improve its structural stability upon water exposure. In-depth structural characterization studies of the designed composite confirmed successful formation of the MOF phase within the ordered spherical mesopores of the silica matrix. In spite of the confinement within the cavities, MOF exhibits full accessibility for the adsorbed gas molecules. Syntaxonomic survey of the class Pegano-Salsoletea in Italy

After a general outline on the syntaxonomical framework of the class Pegano harmalae-Salsoletea vermiculatae Br.-Bl. & O. Bolos 1958, the occurrence of this vegetation in the Italian territory is examined. In Italy, this vegetation is mostly found on clayish or marly substrata, particularly if slightly enriched with nitrates and chlorides. With reference to the Rivas-Martı´nez bioclimatic classification, the Italian stands have an infra- to thermo-Mediterranean thermotype (marginally up to the meso- Mediterranean one) with dry or arid ombrotype. Sabiedriskās izvēles teorijas problēmā par godīgākās un balsotāju preferencēm atbilstošākās sociālās izvēles funkcijas meklējumiem, ir radušies vairāki lēmuma pieņemšanas mehānismi. Vēlēšanas ir plašākais process, kur var izmantot šādus mehānismus. Tomēr, neskatoties uz pasaulē novērojamo vēlēšanu sistēmu daudzveidība, Latvijas Republikā vēlētājs ir limitēts ar tikai vienu balsi par vienu partiju. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt dažādus potenciālos vēlēšanu modeļus, kuros tiek noteikta iespēja atzīmēt vairāk par vēlētāja pirmo izvēli. Tiek izpētīti pieci modeļi. A broad biological screening of the natural alkaloid N-methylisosalsoline (2) extracted from Hammada scoparia leaves against a panel of human and parasitic proteases revealed an interesting activity profile of 2 towards human 20S proteasome. Kali dodecanesicum (Chenopodiaceae, Salsoloideae) a new species from Greece

Kali dodecanesicum, a new species from some islands (i.e. Rhodes, Kos and Nisyros) of the Dodecanese in the south-eastern Aegean (Greece), is described and illustrated. According to recent literature, Kali is treated as a distinct genus from the polyphyletic Salsola s.l., which includes several annual species. The new species is morphologically well separated from the other Kali taxa mainly for the shape of the fruiting perianth, showing closer relationships with Kali ponticum. Its ecological requirements, distribution, and conservation status are also examined, together with an analytic key of the Kali species occurring in the Mediterranean area.

C2 can be interpreted as an evolutionary precursor of C4 and/or as the result of hybridization between a C3 and C4 lineage.We compared the expression of photosynthetic traits among populations of the Salsola divaricata agg.
