Prove tecniche per la "soppressione" del giudizio di appello?

2020

With the aim of containing the current pandemic, by legislative decree no. 149/2020 the Government has intervened also on the appeal stage. Thus, under two fundamental guidelines: a written contradictory, unless there is a request by the party of oral discussion; “online” chambers. A dangerous binomial that will require adjustments during the conversion into law.

Impugnazioni e pandemia: l'esilio dell'oralità e la "smaterializzazione" della camera di consiglio

2021

Law no. 176 of 24 December 2020, which converted into law the so called “Ristori” and “Ristori bis” Decrees, has not brought any significant changes in the subject of legal remedies. Rather, the new law has maintained the “written” model which now also applies to prevention proceedings and to the appeal against coercitive measures. In this system the “virtual” Council Chamber acts as a counterpoint.

Filologia degli scarti: il caso dell'"Abandonnée"

This papaer shed light on the supposed composition of an alternative version, now lost, of the adagio "Anch'io dischiuso un giorno" of Abigaille's aria in the secondo act of Nabucco by Verdi. We can hypothesise that the piece in question was actually composed by Verdi for Giuseppina Strepponi, and that it was subsequently transformed by the composer into the French-language chamber song "L'abandonnée", published in 1849.

L’alto e puro Maestro. Giuseppe Pitrè vs Lamberto Loria: tre lettere inedite

2017

This paper explores the relationship, contradictory and of intense scientific rivalry, between Giuseppe Pitrè and Lamberto Loria. I will analyze the studies conducted on the subject from Giuseppe Cocchiara up to Sandra Puccini, through the funds of the Historical Archives of the "Giuseppe Pitrè" Ethnographic Museum in Palermo and the National Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions in Rome

Chamberlin, Edward Hastings

2016

The entry describes the life and analytical contributions of the US economist Edward Chamberlin (1899 -1967). It reconstructs the development of Chamberlin's thought on the issue of monopolistic competition and compares it with the Economics of Imperfect Competition by Joan Robinson.

Przywracanie pamięci... Rzecz o pasjach zbieraczych Konrada Mientusa

2019

The attention of the writer was attracted by the person of Konrad Mientus, who impressed with his passion of collecting all souvenirs, „props”, which passion became concrete in the form of an extremely valued and constantly visited regional chamber. A passion that was vivid from childhood was emphasized, and many examples of the Silesian regional chamber were referred to. Museum exhibits show the Opole region as a „smali homeland” of Poles and Germans - with all the complexity of the fate of its community, as well as the specificity of the Silesian culture, visible especially in tradition, dia- lect, customs and folk customs.

Correction factors for ionization chamber measurements with the ‘Valencia’ and ‘large field Valencia’ brachytherapy applicators

2018

Treatment of small skin lesions using HDR brachytherapy applicators is a widely used technique. The shielded applicators currently available in clinical practice are based on a tungsten-alloy cup that collimates the source-emitted radiation into a small region, hence protecting nearby tissues. The goal of this manuscript is to evaluate the correction factors required for dose measurements with a plane-parallel ionization chamber typically used in clinical brachytherapy for the 'Valencia' and 'large field Valencia' shielded applicators. Monte Carlo simulations have been performed using the PENELOPE-2014 system to determine the absorbed dose deposited in a water phantom and in the chamber act…

In vitro contamination of hair by marijuana smoke.

2004

Abstract Background: The deposition of cannabinoids on/into hair from environmental smoke can be considered as a potential source of drug findings in hair. We studied external uptake of cannabinoids from marijuana smoke, investigating possible influencing factors on drug uptake and the efficiency of decontamination procedures. Methods: Strands of a natural hair sample were moistened with water, greased with sebum or sebum/sweat, or bleached or permed. Treated and untreated samples were exposed to marijuana smoke for 60 min. Aliquots of each hair strand were either kept unwashed or were washed with methanol, dichloromethane, or 5 g/L dodecyl sulfate in water. Cannabinoid concentrations in un…

Digital Hydraulic Technology for Linear Actuation:A State of the Art Review

2020

This paper analyses the current state of the art in linear actuation with digital hydraulics. Based on the differences in their aims the paper partitions the area into four actuation concepts – parallel valve solutions, single switching valve solutions, multi-chamber cylinders, and multi-pressure cylinders. The concepts are evaluated based on accuracy and smoothness of motion, switching load, reliability, efficiency and the number of components required.

Posting for Consensus, Sharing Consensus. The Case of Migrants on Facebook, Ideological Views and Echo Chambers

2018

This study analyses posts and comments on a popular social network (Facebook) in order to investigate how web-users take advantage of participative platforms to post ideologically-driven comments, and how the exchanges create echo chambers. In particular, the study addresses populism expressed in online debates concerning migrants and used as a pretext to show group identities and ideologies. Facebook is thus taken as an example and considered a participatory platform (Boyd 2014) of political (populist) activism and the milieu for consensus-finding. The dialogic structure of comments is studied within Conversation Analysis adapted to online written texts (Antaki et al. 2005; Giles et al. 20…
