Bakalaura darbs ir veltīts Džeka Keruaka romānam „Ceļā” un tā ideoloģiskai un estētiskai vērtībai 1950. gadu Amerikas kontekstā. Pirmkārt, darbā pētīts 1950. gadu Amerikas politiskais, sociālais un kultūras fons, lai noskaidrotu kas ietekmēja Bītu paaudzes rašanos. Pēc tam darbā analizēta Džeka Keruaka Amerikas īstenības pārdomāšana romānā „Ceļā”, izmantojot tā stāstījumu, tēlus un simbolus. Rezultāti ļauj secināt, ka Keruaks ne tikai rada pilnīgi jaunu skatu uz Ameriku, bet arī jaunā veidā traktē Bītu subkultūru un tās idejas.

Volcanic gas emissions carry crucial information on pre- and syn-eruptive processes, and on behaviour of active volcanic systems. Gas variations arise from replenishment of magma storage zones with mafic magma, from magma ascent and evolution, and from interaction with hydrothermal systems and volcanic lakes. As such, volcanic gases represent “open windows” into genesis and release of volatiles from the Earth’s interior. Volcanic emission measurements allow understanding subsurface magmatic and hydrothermal processes, and contribute to eruption forecasting. Exclusive transduction of human CD4+ T Cells upon systemic delivery of CD4-targeted lentiviral vectors

Abstract Playing a central role in both innate and adaptive immunity, CD4+ T cells are a key target for genetic modifications in basic research and immunotherapy. In this article, we describe novel lentiviral vectors (CD4-LV) that have been rendered selective for human or simian CD4+ cells by surface engineering. When applied to PBMCs, CD4-LV transduced CD4+ but not CD4− cells. Notably, also unstimulated T cells were stably genetically modified. Upon systemic or intrasplenic administration into mice reconstituted with human PBMCs or hematopoietic stem cells, reporter gene expression was predominantly detected in lymphoid organs. Summary Background Cockroach allergens play a very important role in allergic diseases, especially asthma. The major allergen of the American cockroach (Periplaneta americana), Per a 3, naturally occurs as isoforms of hexamers.
