In order to advance in the study of positive body image among different cultures, it is important to create culturally appropriate measures. We examined the psychometric properties of a Latin-American Spanish translation of the Body Appreciation Scale-2 (BAS-2; Tylka & Wood-Barcalow, 2015a), specifically assessing measurement invariance using a large sample of 3845 male and female adolescents from Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia. This study investigated how adolescents (mean age of 15 years) from 21 countries perceived parent- and peer-related stress. Across countries, adolescents perceived parent-related stress at considerably greater levels than peer-related stress. Adolescents assigned to six geographical regions differed significantly in overall stress levels as well as in the disparity between perceived stress levels in the parent and peer domain. The cross-national consistency and variation of gender differences in subjective health complaints was examined in a sample of 125732 11- to 15-year-olds from 29 European and North American countries, participating in the WHO collaborative study 'Health behaviour in school-aged children (HBSC) 1997/98'. Health complaints were measured with the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children Symptom Checklist. Gender differences in health complaints were analysed through multilevel logistic regression analysis. Chlorophyll a (Chl a) in hydrocarbon solution with a small amount of dioxane or water shows red-shifted absorption bands at 686 nm and at 700 nm (dioxane) and at 745 nm (water), indicative of self-organized aggregate structures in solution. This article describes the experience of a storytelling project undertaken at the University of Alicante (Spain) in a course entitled 'Didactics of English Language', followed as part of a BA degree in Primary Education (for students 6-12 years old). The storytelling project was designed by the author of this article and involved student teachers who developed an innovative design integrating Native American children's and young adult literature by authors Joy Harjo, Luci Tapahonso, Simon Ortiz, Michael Caduto and Joseph Bruchac, among others.
