The PROMO project is based around a series of policy workshops and conferences from 2017 and 2018. The project aims to make recommendations to improve: • national labour protection systems for posted workers; • institutions, practices and channels for promoting industrial democracy for posted workers; • the collection of data relevant to making informed posted worker policy decisions. Economics of wage premia and wage rigidity

The focus of this dissertation is on the effects of specific employer characteristics on wages and wage rigidity and how these characteristics enter the wage-setting process. The dissertation includes an introductory chapter and five separate essays. The introduction provides motivation, background on the main keywords and an overview of the thesis. Chapters two and three study how internal references affect wages and wage rigidity from a theoretical perspective. The aim of this study was to investigate the attitudes of trade union representatives toward companies’ CSR practices. The research participants were representatives of altogether nine Finnish trade unions and one Finnish solidarity centre representing the trade unions. The data had been collected as part of a bigger research project concerning trade unions and CSR but this study is an independent research using the same data. Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan Britannian parlamentin alahuoneessa käytyä keskustelua vapaudesta ja valtion tehtävistä Clement Attleen johtaman Labour-hallituksen noustua valtaan vuoden 1945 vaaleissa. Kyseinen hallitus toteutti runsaan määrän uudistuksia, joista merkittävimpänä sosiaaliturvan ja terveydenhuoltojärjestelmän uudistukset. In Posted Work and Deterritorialization in the European Union betoogt Ines Wagner echter dat de dynamiek van intra-Europese arbeidsmigratie ook een hypermobiele onderklasse van arbeiders in precaire, slecht betaald werk creëert. Dit komt voornamelijk doordat tewerkstellingsstructuren transnationaliseren, terwijl beleidsinstrumenten en kiesdistricten territoriaal geregeld blijven.
