Late Neoarchean synchronous TTG gneisses and potassic granitoids in southwestern Liaoning Province, North China Craton: Zircon U-Pb-Hf isotopes, geoc…
2019
Abstract Abundant late Neoarchean granitoids occur in southwestern Liaoning Province, part of the Eastern Ancient Terrane of the North China Craton. These rocks include intermediate gneiss, TTG gneisses and potassic granitoids, and we report on the geochemistry and zircon SHRIMP ages as well as Hf-in-zircon isotopes of these granitoids in order to determine their petrogenesis. Field relationships suggest that most of these granitoids experienced widespread metamorphism and deformation, associated with anatexis at some localities. The intermediate gneisses, TTG gneisses and potassic granitoids were all emplaced at the end of the Neoarchean (2.50–2.53 Ga), and CL images document widespread re…
Reworking of Archaean and Palaeoproterozoic crust in the Mozambique belt of central Tanzania as documented by SHRIMP zircon geochronology
2005
Abstract New SHRIMP zircon ages for high-grade rocks from the Pan-African Mozambique belt (MB) of central Tanzania document reworking of Archaean–Palaeoproterozoic crust during the formation of this Neoproterozoic collisional orogen. Several gneisses and granulites from the Great Ruaha river area yielded late Archaean emplacement ages of 2575–2680 Ma for their magmatic precursors. Core-rim relationships in some zircons revealed new zircon growth during relatively short episodes of granitoid magmatism. Metamorphic zircons, dated at 1925 Ma, provide new evidence for high-grade metamorphism during formation of the Palaeoproterozoic Usagaran mobile belt. Metamorphic rims around magmatic cores i…
Metamorphism of Precambrian–Palaeozoic schists of the Menderes core series and contact relationships with Proterozoic orthogneisses of the western Çi…
2006
The tectonic setting of the southern Menderes Massif, part of the western Anatolide belt in western Turkey, is characterized by the exhumation of deeper crustal levels onto the upper crust during the Eocene. The lowermost tectonic units of the Menderes Massif are exposed in the Çine Massif, where Proterozoic basement orthogneisses of the Çine nappe are in tectonic contact with Palaeozoic metasedimentary rocks of the Selimiye nappe. In the southern Çine Massif, orthogneiss and metasedimentary rocks are separated by the southerly dipping Selimiye shear zone, preserving top-to-the-S shearing under greenschist facies conditions. In contrast, in the western Çine Massif, the orthogneiss is deform…
Eclogites within the Menderes Massif / western Turkey
1997
Metagabbros in the core series of the Menderes Massif, for some time considered as post orogenic Miocene intrusives, revealed a strong poly-metamorphic history. The metagabbro bodies exhibit a pronounced zonation. Within their cores, igneous minerals are still preserved. Coronitic textures are interpreted as results of a high temperature, possibly granulitic overprint. The outer parts of the metagabbro bodies mostly consist of strongly to completely retrograded gamet-amphibo-lites, but occasionally contain relies of eclogites. Petrologic investigations confirmed a high pressure overprint and allowed preliminary P, T estimates (650 degrees C, equal to or greater than 1.3 GPa). The intensity …
Deformation history of the Hengshan Complex: Implications for the tectonic evolution of the Trans-North China Orogen
2007
Abstract Structural analysis indicates that the Hengshan Complex underwent five distinct episodes of deformation (D1–D5). The D1 episode formed small isoclinal folds (F1), penetrative axial planar foliations (S1) and mineral stretching lineations (L1). D1 fabrics were reworked by following D2 deformation. Associated with D2 was the development of NW-verging asymmetric folds and accompanying thrust faults. Both D1 and D2 resulted from crustal thickening and coherent with prograde and peak metamorphism. D2 deformation was followed by transpressional dextral shearing (D3), including top-to-NW oblique-slip shearing and NNE–SSW dextral strike-slip shearing. Ongoing collision led to development o…
Niemiecka samorządność terytorialna. Bilans pozjednoczeniowego trzydziestolecia przemian ustrojowo-strukturalnych
2020
Local government is one of the most important institutions of a democratic rule of law in Germany. Its position and role was basically shaped immediately after the end of World War II. The purpose of this article is an attempt to present and evaluate the systemic and structural changes that have taken place in German local government within 30 years of the post-unification period. The hypothesis of this study is as follows: The political and structural changes of German local government in the last 30 years have been directed towards making the activities of its bodies and institutions more effective as well as strengthening and deepening democracy, influencing the authorities in power, rat…
Refusal to grant a vote of confidenceto the municipal executive body – a procedural aspect
2021

Revealing lattice disorder, oxygen incorporation and pore formation in laser induced two-photon oxidized graphene
2019
Abstract Laser induced two-photon oxidation has proven to be a reliable method to pattern and control the level of oxidation of single layer graphene, which in turn allows the development of graphene-based electronic and optoelectronic devices with an all-optical method. Here we provide a full structural and chemical description of modifications of air-suspended graphene during the oxidation process. By using different laser irradiation doses, we were able to show via transmission electron microscopy, electron energy loss spectroscopy, electron diffraction and Raman spectroscopy how graphene develops from its pristine form up to a completely oxidized, porous and amorphous carbon layer. Furt…
