TBSSvis: Visual Analytics for Temporal Blind Source Separation

Temporal Blind Source Separation (TBSS) is used to obtain the true underlying processes from noisy temporal multivariate data, such as electrocardiograms. TBSS has similarities to Principal Component Analysis (PCA) as it separates the input data into univariate components and is applicable to suitable datasets from various domains, such as medicine, finance, or civil engineering. Toward a refined conceptualization of IS discontinuance : Reflection on the past and a way forward

Interest in studying information systems discontinuance has been increasing lately, yet there is no consensus on what it means. To improve the situation, we conduct a comprehensive review of current literature on IS discontinuance and identify 55 studies published during 1991–2017 that specifically focus on the topic. Our conceptual analysis disentangles the process, content, and context of the phenomenon, revealing that over the course of a typical IS lifecycle, IS discontinuance may materialize at least in five distinct forms: rejection, regressive discontinuance, quitting, temporary discontinuance, and replacement. Tämä tutkielma käsittelee sukupuolivähemmistöjen representaatiota kolmessa sanomalehdessä. Suomessa sukupuolivähemmistöjä (transihmiset ja transvestiitit) on tutkittu mediassa hyvin vähän, uutistekstissä tuskin ollenkaan. Tutkielma etsii vastausta paitsi siihen, millaisia representaatioita sukupuolivähemmistöistä käytetään, myös siihen, kenellä on oikeus sukupuolensa mukaiseen ja sukupuoltaan kunnioittavaan representaatioon. Tutkielman lähtökohtana on queer-tutkimus sisarteoria transgender studies, joka on kiinnostunut sukupuolten epätyypillisyydestä. Open strategizing on social media: A process model of emotional mechanisms and outcomes from un-orchestrated participation

This study extends the discussion on open strategizing by following the development of unlimited participation in an ex-ante city merger case where participation was not orchestrated. The findings unravel how the aggregation of emotional expressions on social media results in an escalating conflict, and initiates attempts to mitigate grounded in decision-makers’ reflexiveness of social becoming(s). Thus, the study of human resource management (HRM) practices and their consequences for employees is relevant.
