Feminism is a fast growing phenomenon in recent years. This paper started with the historical conflict of marriage and feminism, then researched the connection between anime and gender-role. Since Japanese anime was imported to China in 1980s, it has influenced the generation born in 1980s and 1990s in many aspects of their growth. These well-educated people perceived the Japanese culture and values through anime. This study connected gender stereotypes and marriage, and how Chinese well-educated anime fans interpret the gender-role portrayals from anime. Tarkastelen maisterintutkielmassani kaksikielisen Pietarsaaren kaupungin kadunnimistöä. Kyseisestä kaupungista ei vielä ole vastaavaa tutkimusta tehty. Maisterintutkielmani liittyy paikannimistön – tarkemmin määriteltynä virallisen kaupunkinimistön – tutkimukseen. Kadunnimistö on virallista kaavanimistöä erotuksena epävirallisesta kaupunkinimistöstä. Aineistoni koostuu 443:sta Pietarsaaren kaupungin virallisesta suomenkielisestä kadunnimestä ja yhtä monesta Pietarsaaren virallisesta ruotsinkielisestä kadunnimestä. “Overwatch is anime” : Exploring an alternative interpretational framework for competitive gaming

Esports has often been likened and compared to traditional sports. This paper suggests an alternative interpretative framework for competitive gaming by focusing on the team-based first-person shooter game Overwatch. We explore Overwatch esports using multi-sited ethnography and demonstrate how the fans and viewers use a rich spectrum of cultural products to enrich and explain their relationship with esports. Un algoritmo PSO per l’ottimizzazione planimetrica dei tracciati stradali

Questo studio propone un algoritmo di ricerca basato sulla tecnica di Intelligenza Artificiale di tipo Swarm (Particle Swarm Optimization - PSO) che consente di ottimizzare la geometria dei tracciati stradali, minimizzando una particolare funzione di costo che tiene conto di voci condizionanti la geometria del tracciato e di penalità relative ai vincoli presenti nel territorio. La pianificazione e la progettazione di un tracciato stradale costituiscono fasi intense di studio, fondamentali per garantire la sicurezza dell’infrastruttura.
