Excessive eryptosis confers a procoagulant phenotype and is implicated in impairment of microcirculation and increased prothrombotic risk. Coach-athlete perceived congruence between actual and desired emotions in karate competition and training

Coaches can help athletes regulate emotions but would benefit from tools that help them accurately perceive athletes' emotions. In the present study, we investigated the use of video-recorded performances to compare 3 martial artists' ratings of desired and actual emotions with their coach's ratings. Results show how desired emotions progressively fluctuated throughout competition. Furthermore, desired and actual emotions differed between training and performance contexts. Finally, we report correlations between performance and perceived congruence in desired and actual emotions. A Non-Local Mode-I Cohesive Model for Ascending Thoracic Aorta Dissections (ATAD)

This paper presents a non-local interface mechanical model to describe aortic dissection. In this regard, the mode-I debonding problem based on a cohesive zone modeling is endowed with non-local terms to include long-range interactions that are present in multi-layered biological tissue. Such non-local effects are related to the collagen fibers that transmit forces between non-adjacent elements. Numerical simulations are provided with different values of the non-local parameters in order to show the effect of the non-locality during the debonding processes.

Canonical polyadic decomposition (CPD) of multi-subject complex-valued fMRI data can be used to provide spatially and temporally shared components among groups with both magnitude and phase information. However, the CPD model is not well formulated due to the large subject variability in the spatial and temporal modalities, as well as the high noise level in complex-valued fMRI data. Java-COM integration with JACOB using XML wrappers

Many Windows-based legacy applications can be programmatically accessed using COM interfaces. However, calling COM components from Java is not straightforward. This report compares four open source Java-COM integration packages. A technique for typesafe Java-COM integration is presented. The technique is based on typesafe COM interface wrappers using jcom, java2com and JACOB libraries. Examples with Microsoft Office applications are presented. XML wrapper and code generator can be bundled with future JACOB releases as an alternative to Jacobgen wrapper generator. nonPeerReviewed
