Evaluation of chloroplast genome annotation tools and application to analysis of the evolution of coffee species.

International audience; Chloroplast sequences are widely used for phylogenetic analysis due to their high degree of conservation in plants. Whole chloroplast genomes can now be readily obtained for plant species using new sequencing methods, giving invaluable data for plant evolution However new annotation methods are required for the efficient analysis of this data to deliver high quality phylogenetic analyses. In this study, the two main tools for chloroplast genome annotation were compared. The Meloidogyne-based disease complexes (MDCs) are caused by the interaction of different root-knot nematode species and phytopathogenic fungi. These complexes are devastating several important crops worldwide including tomato and coffee. Despite their relevance, little is known about the role of the bacterial communities in the MDCs. Abstract The present work reports investigation on phenolic compounds, antioxidant activity and enzyme inhibitory activities (acetylcholinesterase, butyrylcholinesterase, tyrosinase, α-amylase and α-glucosidase) of different extracts from two Moroccan Asteraceae species; Bubonium imbricatum Cav. and Cladanthus arabicus (L.) Cass. B. imbricatum extracts contained the highest amounts of phenolics and flavonoids, and also exhibited higher antioxidant activity. The Arabic Scale of Death Anxiety (ASDA), as one of the most widely used measures of death anxiety (DA), has increasingly been applied in many studies. However, the structures derived from different studies are highly inconsistent. In this study, both traditional and novel (bifactor) modeling approaches were used, to investigate the most optimal structure of the ASDA in a sample of 984 Chinese college students. Unconscious processing of Arabic numerals in unilateral neglect

This study explores the processing of Arabic numerals in three patients with dense left unilateral neglect. Three tasks have been used: a test of visual awareness (is the stimulus on the left, on the right or on both sides?), a number comparison task (is the number larger or smaller than 5?), a number parity judgment task (is the number odd or even?). The test of visual awareness indicated that all three patients were completely unaware of the stimuli presented in the left hemifield. In alphabetic orthographies, letter identification is a critical process during the recognition of visually presented words. In the present experiment, we examined whether and when visual form influences letter processing in two very distinct alphabets (Roman and Arabic). Este artículo analiza la epigrafía funeraria nazarí y establece la estructura de los epitafios andalusíes conservados datables entre los siglos XIII y XV. Se estudia también una pieza arqueológica cuyo exacto origen se desconoce, aunque se puede deducir que apareció en la región de Granada. La piedra se usó en el siglo XV para grabar el epitafio de un hombre musulmán cuyo texto se conserva completo en siete líneas de escritura árabe cursiva en relieve. Formó parte de la colección del Duque de Santa Lucía y hoy integra el lapidario árabe del Museo Arqueológico Nacional (Nº. Inv. 1962/34/15).

The history of Islam has always been characterized by a system of continuous osmosis and interactions between Arabic West (Maġrib) and East (Mašriq). This study aims at analyzing the peculiar system of relationships between al-Maġrib al-aqṣā and al-dawla al-'uṯmāniyya during the Sa'dian period (16th - 17th centuries).
