Single individuals of 2 little-known cetacean species, Mesoplodon hectori and Phocoena dioptrica, stranded and died on the coast of Argentina (Buenos Aires and Chubut provinces, respectively) and were studied for the presence of helminths. The cestodes found were described and illustrated using light microscopy. The following cestode taxa were recovered: Tetrabothrius (Tetrabothrius) hobergi n. sp. (several fragmented specimens, at least 1 gravid) and Tetrabothrius (s.l.) sp. 1 (several fragmented immature specimens) from M. hectori, and Tetrabothrius (s.l.) sp. 2 (single fragmented immature specimen) and 2 morphotypes of tetraphyllidean larvae from P. dioptrica. Background: Little is known of acceptability and feasibility of dual HIV and syphilis rapid tests in community- and home-based provider-initiated strategies among transgender women (TGW), in Latin America. Objectives were (1) to assess the acceptability of this strategy and, (2) to determine the percentage of positive results of HIV and syphilis, analyze the correlates of HIV or syphilis positive results, and measure the rates of effective referral and treatment completion among TGW. A diferencia de los mismos, nos propusimos realizar una comparación parcial entre mujeres argentinas y japonesas que viven en Argentina y Japón, respectivamente, ya que partimos del supuesto de que las pautas culturales están menos contaminadas en el lugar de origen. Nel saggio vengono per la prima volta censiti, analizzati e contestualizzati nella temperie culturale e cronologica di riferimento diciotto manufatti in argento. Si tratta del corredo di suppellettili liturgiche sopravvissute alla soppressione dell'ordine della Compagnia di Gesù di Trapani. Le inedite opere pubblicate sono state prodotte da maestranze siciliane, trapanesi e palermitane, attive tra la fine del XVI secolo e il 1819.
