Design of a Smart Car Park with PV generation and BESS for Grid-on and Grid-off Operation. The SMARTEP Project

The paper presents the design state of a smart car park shelter for electric vehicle in the campus of the University of Palermo. The car park is supplied by the main grid and by a 40 kW photovoltaic system and is equipped with a Li-ion battery storage system with capacity 42 kWh. The hybrid plant is designed in order to operate both in connection with the main grid and in stand-alone mode, supplying, in this case, all car park's loads and providing one recharge to an electric vehicle. SMS Messages in a Daily Finnish Newspaper : The Contect of Proverb Performances

The article focuses on Finnish proverbs as a part of contemporary colloquial written language in everyday use and context. The article offers a view on what is happening with proverbs in the vernacular in Finnish everyday life. Most traditional Finnish proverbs originate from an agrarian context and still use agrarian language, even if nowadays they live in a new context with a new meaning. As empirical material this article uses a special case that demonstrates the use of proverbs in one Finnish newspaper: proverbs in SMS messages published as a letter to the editor in a newspaper. peerReviewed
"Last Signification Bits" Method for Watermarking of Medical Image

International audience; In this paper, we present a new approach for watermarking of medical image that we are trying to adapt to telemedicine. This approach is intended to insert a set of data in a medical image. These data should be imperceptible and robust to various attacks. It's containing the signature of the original image, the data specific to the patient and his diagnostic. The purpose of the watermarking method is to check the integrity and preservation of the confidentiality of patient data in a network sharing. This approach is based on the use the LSB (least significant bits) of the image and tools borrowed from cryptography.

This research addresses images of childhood in the context of media and children´s everyday lives. Images of childhood reproduced by young children themselves and by their parents and day-care personnel, and in television advertising were investigated. Representations are studied as social, cultural and historical entities that are formed in the course of everyday life. This article explores anticipation as a temporal structure in digital platforms. It contributes to the growing research of platformisation of everyday life by focusing on temporality as a central dimension of platform power, a key mechanism tying participants by structuring intimacies, socialities, and relations that platforms enable and engender.
