Anharmonic force fields from analytic CCSD(T) second derivatives: HOF and F2O

The recent implementation of analytic second derivatives for CCSD(T) (coupled cluster theory with single and double excitations augmented by a perturbational treatment of connected triple excitations) has been combined with a numerical finite difference procedure to calculate cubic and semidiagonal quartic force fields. Computational details of this approach are outlined. Applications are reported for HOF and F2O. The CCSD(T) results are in excellent agreement with experiment and represent a substantial improvement over the results obtained from MP2 (Mo/ller–Plesset second-order perturbation theory).

A theoretical prediction of nuclear magnetic shieldings and indirect spin-spin coupling constants in 1,1-, cis- and trans-1,2-difluoroethylenes is reported. The results obtained using density functional theory (DFT) combined with large basis sets and gauge-independent atomic orbital calculations were critically compared with experiment and conventional, higher level correlated electronic structure methods. Accurate structural, vibrational, and NMR parameters of difluoroethylenes were obtained using several density functionals combined with dedicated basis sets. A perturbation expansion based on a modified and scaled harmonic oscillator combined with Pade extrapolation techniques has been used to determine the expansion of the ground-state energy in fractional and negative powers of the coupling constant, valid for large values of λ.
Benchmark Thermochemistry of the Hydroperoxyl Radical

A theoretical estimation of the enthalpy of formation for the hydroperoxyl radical is presented. These results are based on CCSD(T)/aug-cc-pCV5Z calculations extrapolated to the basis-set limit with additional corrections. Anharmonic vibrational zero-point energies, scalar relativistic, spin -orbit coupling, and diagonal BornOppenheimer corrections are further used to correct the extrapolated term energies, as well as various empirical corrections that account for correlation effects not treated at the CCSD(T) level. Analytic results for virtual QCD corrections to Higgs production and decay

We consider the production of a Higgs boson via gluon-fusion and its decay into two photons. We compute the NLO virtual QCD corrections to these processes in a general framework in which the coupling of the Higgs boson to the external particles is mediated by a colored fermion and a colored scalar. We present compact analytic results for these two-loop corrections that are expressed in terms of Harmonic Polylogarithms. The expansion of these corrections in the low and high Higgs mass regimes, as well as the expression of the new Master Integrals which appear in the reduction of the two-loop amplitudes, are also provided. In particular, the reflection aims to investigate the role and usefulness of the 'administrative management' system of the predictive elements of the crisis and insolvency between administrative procedure and consequences in terms of outcomes and possible legal phases.
