Hamartoma of the urinary bladder: case report and review of the literature.

Bladder hamartoma is a rare benign entity with only eight cases reported in the literature thus far, and whose general imaging features have not, to our knowledge, been previously discussed. The purpose of this report is to review the literature and to discuss the imaging findings in one case of bladder hamartoma where US features were those of an inhomogeneous solid mass with an unechogenic center, which was in accordance with the CT findings of a soft tissue mass with central inhomogeneous enhancement due to central necrosis.

Background— Echocardiography, the dominant imaging modality for quantification of left ventricular metrics, has undergone continuing development in the past few decades. However, given the lack of population-based data, current guidelines are still based on restricted and small data sets analyzed with methods including expert opinion. This work presents empirically derived reference values from a large-scale, epidemiologic study conducted with state-of-the-art imaging technology and methods. Moreover, vitamin D deficiency has been associated with all-cause mortality [6,7] and predicts adverse cardiac events in patients with established CVD [8] or after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) [9]. Cowden disease, also known as multiple hamartoma syndrome, is a rare disease inherited in an autosomal dominant pattern, which confers a high risk of developing breast and thyroid carcinomas. Mutations in PTEN, a tumor suppressor gene located on chromosome 10q23, have been identified in patients with Cowden disease. In this work, the direct sequencing of all coding regions of the PTEN gene led us to the identification of N48K, a new germline PTEN missense mutation, in a patient suffering from Cowden disease. Congenital hepatic mesenchymal hamartoma associated with mesenchymal stem villous hyperplasia of the placenta: case report.

A newborn with an unusual association of hepatic mesenchymal hamartoma and mesenchymal stem villous hyperplasia of the placenta is presented. At birth, the large hepatic mass caused severe respiratory distress necessitating early surgical intervention. This report on the association of hepatic mesenchymal hamartoma and mesenchymal stem villous hyperplasia of the placenta strongly suggests a common pathogenetic origin of the 2 lesions.

Today, territorial, demographic evolutions can be quick, which encourages towns to reconsider the geography of public services. This is notably the case of General Councils that handle the localisation of public middle schools and establish school sectors. Carrying out these tasks requires taking into account several parameters: demographic dynamics, urban projects, social diversity within schools, and transportation conditions. The tool 'Prospective Scolaire' integrates these multiple data in order to help communities carry out their tasks.
Epigrafía funeraria nazarí: el epitafio de al-Yanaštī (835/1436)

Este artículo analiza la epigrafía funeraria nazarí y establece la estructura de los epitafios andalusíes conservados datables entre los siglos XIII y XV. Se estudia también una pieza arqueológica cuyo exacto origen se desconoce, aunque se puede deducir que apareció en la región de Granada. La piedra se usó en el siglo XV para grabar el epitafio de un hombre musulmán cuyo texto se conserva completo en siete líneas de escritura árabe cursiva en relieve. Formó parte de la colección del Duque de Santa Lucía y hoy integra el lapidario árabe del Museo Arqueológico Nacional (Nº. Inv. 1962/34/15).
