Understanding Urban Fabric with the OH_FET model based on Social Use, Space and Time

The proposed principle for understanding the urban fabric is based on considering the town as a set of complex objects, taking a systemic approach. The town system used to study the urban fabric over large time spans is composed of three sub-systems relating to historical objects from the level of the excavation to that of the former urban space: function (social use), space (location, surface area and morphology) and time (dating, duration and chronology). Chemical Cartography with APOGEE: Multi-element Abundance Ratios

We map the trends of elemental abundance ratios across the Galactic disk, spanning R = 3-15 kpc and midplane distance |Z|= 0-2 kpc, for 15 elements in a sample of 20,485 stars measured by the SDSS/APOGEE survey (O, Na, Mg, Al, Si, P, S, K, Ca, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni). Adopting Mg rather than Fe as our reference element, and separating stars into two populations based on [Fe/Mg], we find that the median trends of [X/Mg] vs. [Mg/H] in each population are nearly independent of location in the Galaxy. Interactive geovisualization portals, set up on the Internet after the iconic Google Maps, are highly regarded by the public. They provide the ability to see from above the surface of our planet, and more specifically the French territory in the case of Geoportail. Yet it is forbidden to approach too close to certain objects: on national territory, some 150 sites are in fact hidden by the IGN. This paper question the relevance and efficiency of this operation imposed on the main body of production and dissemination of spatial information in France, in comparison with the means used by other countries.

Tämän kontrastiivisen tutkimuksen aiheena on suomen kielen sijamuodon, essiivin, ranskankieliset vastineet Arto Paasilinnan Jäniksen vuosi -romaanin (1975) ranskannoksessa Le lièvre de Vatanen (1989), jonka on kääntänyt Anne Colin du Terrail. Aineisto koostuu 149 produktiivisesta essiiviesiintymästä ja niiden ranskankielisistä vastineista. Aiheen valinnan motiivina ovat ranskan ja suomen kielen typologiset erot. Comparing Conservation Value Maps and Mapping Methods in a Rural Landscape in Southern Finland

We tested to what extent conservation value maps are different if the valuation and mapping method is changed. We compared 66 different conservation value and 4 different ecosystem service maps. Using remote sensing and other georeferenced data, we produced 2 different habitat type maps, which were 50 % similar. We valued each mapped habitat type based on rarity corrected potential number of vascular plant species and naturalness using 6 different valuation alternatives. Suomalaisissa yksityisissä riippumattomissa tuotantoyhtiöissä tapahtuvan liiketoiminnan arvo Suomessa on Aku Alasen laskelmien mukaan noin puoli prosenttia bruttokansantuotteesta ja hiukan alle puoli prosenttia kaikista työllisistä. Tilastokeskuksen tietokannasta poimittiin kyselyyn yritykset, jotka olivat ilmoittaneet toimialoikseen audiovisuaalisen alan toimialat ja joiden vuotuinen liikevaihto oli yli satatuhatta euroa ja henkilöstö oli yksi tai enemmän. Vuonna 2010 kyselyyn vastasi 65 yritystä, joka oli 29 % kyselyyn valituista yrityksistä. Vastanneet edustivat 29 % valittujen yritysten liikevaihdosta ja 16 % valittujen yritysten henkilöstöstä.
