Big data and HR analytics in the digital era

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to focus on how the HR function takes advantage of human resource analytics (HRA), including big data (BD), and discuss factors hindering HRA and data utilization. Moreover, the authors discuss the implications of the HRA-induced role transformation of the human resource (HR) function. Young managers’ drive to thrive: A personal work goal approach to burnout and work engagement

This study approaches young managers’ occupational well-being through their work-related goal pursuit. The main aim was to identify content categories of personal work goals and investigate their associations with background factors, goal appraisals, burnout, and work engagement. The questionnaire data consisted of 747 young Finnish managers (23–35 years; M = 31 years) who were mostly men (85.5%). Integrating risk management tools for regional forest planning : an interactive multiobjective value at risk approach

In this paper, we present an approach employing multiobjective optimization to support decision making in forest management planning under risk. The primary objectives are biodiversity and timber cash flow, evaluated from two perspectives: the expected value and the value-at-risk (VaR). In addition, the risk level for both the timber cash flow and biodiversity values are included as objectives. Tässä tutkielmassa tutkitaan Yhdysvaltoihin sijoittavien rahastojen suoriutumista aika- välillä 01/2005-01/2016. Aineisto koostuu rahastoista, joita joko hallinnoidaan Yhdys- valloissa tai Pohjoismaissa, ja joiden sijoitukset kohdistuvat Yhdysvaltoihin. Aineisto koostuu 10:n pohjoismaalaisen rahaston ja 16:n amerikkalaisen rahaston kuukausi- tuotoista ja rahastot ovat kasvurahastoja. Tässä työssä asetetaan vastakkain amerikkalaisten salkunhoitajien ja pohjoismaalaisten salkunhoitajien osaaminen.
