Lower and Middle Cambrian brachiopods from the Iberian Chains and Sierra Morena (Spain)

Brachiopods from the Lower and Middle Cambrian of the Iberian Chains and Sierra Morena are described. The following taxa occur in the Iberian Chains: "Lingulella" sp., Redlichella cf. bohemica (Barrande), Dictyonina radioplicata sp. n., Micromitra sp., Trematobolus simplex (Vogel), Trematobolus borobiensis sp. n. and Jamesella sp. The taxa "Lingulella" sp. and Sibiria? sp. are reported from the Lower Cambrian of Sierra Morena. In this paper, an experimental study referring to the flexural behavior of full-scale external beam-column joints externally strengthened with steel angles and strips and subjected to cyclic reversal loading is presented. One control specimen and five other specimens having the same characteristics as the control specimen but strengthened with steel angles and strips along beams and columns, and characterized by different configurations of strengthening in the critical regions, were tested. The unique fossil assemblage from the Lode Quarry (Upper Devonian, Latvia)

The unique fossil fauna from the Lode clay quarry, lower Frasnian, Latvia, includes a diverse ichthyofauna of at least 15 taxa of agnathans and gnathostomes, representing most of the major taxa of Devonian vertebrates. Six new fish taxa (five species and one genus) were discovered during the last ten years. Exceptionally well-preserved juvenile fishes (<i>Asterolepis ornata, Lodeacanthus gaujicus</i>) provide unique data on ontogenetic change. Diverse arthropods are recorded. The archaeological and experimental works about rabbit processing and consumption from the last years provide a wide and relevant framework. Background: The lack of social and material perspectives in descriptions of recovery processes is almost common in recovery research. Aim: Consequently, we investigated recovery stories and how people with mental health and/or addiction challenges included social and material aspects in these stories. Method: We conducted focus group and individual interviews. We investigated how the participants narrated their stories and how they assembled places and people in their recovery stories. On chips optical nanocavities have become useful tools for trapping and manipulation of colloidal objects. In this thesis we study the nanocavities as building blocks for optical forces, trapping and handling of particles. Proof of concept of trapping dielectric microspheres appears as the starting point of the development of lab on chip. The Campo de Caso section (eastern part of the Cantabrian Zone, NW Spain) exposes a middle to upper Moscovian (Middle Pennsylvanian) succession, up to 3500-m thick, consisting of marine shelfal and deltaic siliciclastic and shale deposits with numerous intercalated fossiliferous limestones.
