The aim of this study was to develop teaching methods for practising argumentative problem-solving in a degree program of social services. The purpose was to acquire knowledge about multiple (face-to-face, online, and integrated) learning environments for studying argumentative problem-solving. In addition, the typical features of collaborative argumentation in student discussions were identified. Two teaching experiments were arranged in courses on drug and alcohol abuse. Optical Monitoring of Microplastics Filtrated from Wastewater Sludge and Suspended in Ethanol.

The abundance of microplastics (MPs) in the atmosphere, on land, and especially in water bodies is well acknowledged. In this study, we establish an optical method based on three different techniques, namely, specular reflection to probe the medium, transmission spectroscopy measurements for the detection and identification, and a speckle pattern for monitoring the sedimentation of MPs filtrated from wastewater sludge and suspended in ethanol. We used first Raman measurements to estimate the presence and types of different MPs in wastewater sludge samples. We also used microscopy to identify the shapes of the main MPs. Strupastes Microtus hartingi uzvedības pārmaiņas atklātā lauka testā pēc stresa ietekmes dažādos ontoģenēzes periodos

Bakalaura darbā ir apskatītas pētnieciskās uzvedības pārmaiņas, kā arī reproduktīvās spējas pēc stresa ietekmes uz Lidijas strupasti Microtus hartingi lydius dažādos ontoģenēzes posmos: prenatālajā periodā un agrīnajā postnatālajā periodā. Stresa ietekme tika izdarīta uz grūsnu mātīti, uz mātīti laktācijas periodā un mazuļiem pirmajās 10 dienās pēc dzimšanas. Kad strupastes sasniedza 60 dienu vecumu, tika pētīta dzīvnieku uzvedība “atklātā lauka testā”. Tika izveidota un pārbaudīta testā arī kontroles grupa. Vislielākās uzvedības pārmaiņas atklātā lauka testā izrādīja 1. grupas dzīvnieki, kuri tika ietekmēti prenatālajā periodā (stresa ietekme uz grūsnu mātīti). Dzīvnieki uzrādīja palielinā…
