Experimental Research of the Formability of Lightweight Metallic Materials Used in Automotive Industry

This paper aims to study the plastic deformation behaviour of lightweight metallic materials in order to reduce the total weight of the vehicles without affecting their performances. For the theoretical and experimental researches presented here, among these materials the AZ31B magnesium alloy has been chosen, a representative alloy for the magnesium-zinc-aluminium alloy system. The results of the theoretical researches, made on finite elements models, were validated by means of experimental researches consisting of tensile tests, forming limit curves determination tests and AZ31B magnesium alloy drawing, respectively.

Towards a Formal Analysis of MQtt Protocol in the Context of Communicating Vehicles

International audience; The paper presents a formal approach to model, analyze, and verify a variant of Message Queue Telemetry Transport protocol (MQtt), dedicated to communicating vehicles (MQtt-CV) that send collected data to automotive infrastructures(subscribers). Our formal approach is based on Promela language and its system verification tool, the model checker SPIN. We propose a slight modification of MQtt protocol to reduce the big volume of data collected and sent by vehicles to infrastructures. PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to analyse the effect of training on ad hoc teams in an industrial setting.Design/methodology/approachIn this paper, data were collected from 11 Spanish automobile manufacturer suppliers and included the assessment of the current situation, the creation and holding of different workshops followed by the collection of the results.FindingsThe paper finds that ad hoc teams are really effective especially in lean companies.Originality/valueThis paper breaks new ground in analysing the effect of training ad hoc teams in an industrial setting.
